The view was just ok. You won't get there unless you have a car. It smells like swimming pool in the building.

Super clean. Nice linens and compfi bed. There was a pool and Sauna. Given the price of under 80 Euro for 2 people per night a good price value equilibrium. Bar looked nice but didn't go there.

There was a big parking lot, however it was muddy and there is no charging station for electric vehicles. Noisy from next door's bathroom and hall way.

I don't know if they mention that rooms are Air conditioned. But even if not, they should get it. There are no Air conditioning in the hotel so you need to open the windows in your room and expect some small bugs to get in. The bathroom is very standard.

Excellent free parking, quite nice area. Decent breakfast.

Since I have given this very hotel a couple of reviews already (hint to the dear people at booking.com ... ), I will be brief: The breakfast was very good. The hotel is quiet, and the location is almost rural, although in the middle of the Ruhr area.

The only thing, that we would have liked, was a small sitting room for hotel guests with softer furnishings, comfortable chairs/sofas, where hotel guests could meet with friends/family staying at the hotel, and maybe have a drink. We appreciate, there is limited space for this, as the bar also serves as breakfast room, but nevertheless - just a thought. 😉

Actually, I did not miss anything. If I were to point out a flaw, I'd say the balconies are a bit unusual in that they are made of some see-through mesh. Takes a bit of getting used to to stand on them. But this is really a very minor point.

Location: quiet, and still only 10 min on foot from the Ruhr University Campus. Breakfast: Buffet. Café au Laut/Cappuccino/Espresso can be ordered from personnel.

We spent three days in probably one of the hottest days in the entire summer, so we missed air conditioning in the room. Our room had a balcony and two windows, but it wasn’t enough to make it nice to stay inside, especially throughout the day and early evening. At night it was better. The room was a bit small, while the bathroom was large and comfortable!

Unfortunately, while we stayed here for three days, we didn’t have many chances to enjoy the hotel’s services, such as the sauna, gym, and swimming pool. Staff has been very kind and helped us accommodating some changes we asked through Booking.com before our arrival. The hotel is close to the Kemnader See (the bus stop is right in front of the hotel, at the end of the street - 2 mins walking) and the Botanical Garden. Also, there is walking trail to get to the Uni; if you are not keen to walking, a bus will bring you there in about 5 mins. Everything else is not so easy to reach if you do not have a car…which may cause transfer times to even double! We had breakfast there and it was okay. As sweet options, you would have delicious croissants-that you may fill with Nutella or different kinds of jams, milk, cereals, juice and yogurt. The hotel and the rooms were clean, but (unless explicitly required) there was no housekeeping-because of Covid. But you could ask anything you need at the 24/7 reception. We had a room on the third floor, with a nice view on the woods around and a (small) balcony.

Room was so bare, no fridge or tea kettle. Internet was insufficient for occasional work. But the lobby/restaurant area was pleasant due to helpfulness of staff.

It was in a very quiet part of the town. Staff was great, food was hearty and wholesome. Price was good.
