Even though you are close to the lake, the immediate surroundings of the hotel are very boring and there is no nice lakeside.

The shower gel dispenser didn't smell very nice (it smelt like baby wipes) but there were alternatives in small bottles. The breakfast just needed some crossaints and pastries to round it off.

There was an issue gaining entry to the hotel later on in the evening. The doors are locked after 10 pm I believe and the notice with instructions to get into the hotel were, understandably, in German yet there was information in English which should have been helpful. Luckily I was with a German speaker who helped call through to security, but you could potentially find yourself in a tight spot if you don’t plan ahead especially if you’re returning later in the evening. There were no staff on at all behind reception after 10.

The hotel’s location is great, there is a fuel station not far from the property and a supermarket within walking distance. It’s very close to the lake and has some great balcony rooms.

Zimmer: A spacious, comfortable room. On one of the bed-matrasses it felt that you could easily roll off when you were laying too close to the edge. Frühstück: A bit more than 'standard', fresh bread. Lots of coffee, tea, juices etc. Essen: A large selection of mainly regional dishes, taste and 'amount' of food was very good. So was the beer. Bathroom: Although the bathroom was very spacious, the shower was relatively small, could have been a bit wider, there is space enough in the bathroom. Free parking in the underground garage, very good.

Biggest issue was the lack of tea making facilities in the room. There is a fridge so storing milk would be easy but no kettle. Also the German tv is awful.

Cleanliness, comfort, shower, room size, staff were all excellent. They have a lift which was very efficient. The local train station is a short 2 minute walk with a train to the town centre taking 8 minutes. Connecting trains from here to the airport. On site restaurant is handy

They had many installation work going on. Apparently they use the low business for renovations, which makes sense but is not so great if you are a customer in that particular time window.

They have an excellent restaurant, but due to the slow business in Covid times the service is limited in time and choices. But still very good.
