Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomWe arrived on the rest day when the restaurant is not open so we could not have an evening meal or a drink, it is worth checking the restaurant will be open and making a reservation if you want to eat or have a beer.
Breakfast was wonderful and the spot was charming. Nice to sit and look at the fishponds and good for a walk.

Excellent service and the restaurant was wonderful. Our room was comfortable and the view out to the pond was lovely. Check in and check out were easy and most of the staff spoke good English.

United StatesLili was so nice but the other staff were snobby. Breakfast left something to be desired and the small rowboat in the pond was full of disgusting yellow water.
Location deep in a valley in the Black Forest. Property has its own fish hatchery and the waterwheel is really cool. It's a lovely setting. Lili was the most AMAZING server and we didn't realize it until later but she is the one featured in the hotel brochure and website!

United KingdomI regret that the head waiter seemed conceited and supercilious which rather put us off our meal. We ordered the fischplatte hoping for a good selection and enough to fill our very empty stomachs. It tasted great but the portion size fell far short of what we would expect on a platte.
