Fairly new hotel, excellent facilities, great staff, super restaurant.

E-Car charging. I have to say it was a nightmare. First time I got a rental e-car but charging it was more than challenging. No disrespect to Hotel Alsik, maybe the parking house does not even belong to you. But if I do not have some very good Danish friends with me I do not know how I would have managed. This app-based e-charging is a real nightmare including not having enough network at the parking house so the app could just not work. There should be a station where you can pay with a credit card.

Everything ( exception please see below ) was again awesome, including the view, breakfast, staff.

All excellent except for the weird idea that the spa area needs extra booking in advance and extra paying - this is totally uncommon and not adequate for a hotel of this top category.

Super stylish and elegant hotel. Luxury surroundings and great staff, giving outstanding service. One of the few, where it is an experience to dine at the hotel restaurant.

Dinner at restaurant Alsik was under average and far too expensive compare to the quality. It is much better to go out and eat in the town. That’s our only complaint. The rest was very fine.

Nice, modern hotel with big, comfortable rooms. Very nice and rich breakfast. Staff was nice. Location was exceptional.

Good quality. Good food. Good service. Excellent views from our 15th floor room. Even better all round views from the ‘point of view’ top floor. Staff were always pleased to help.

Parking should either be free or discounted. DKK 120 per day for a five star hotel is not okay. We were also quite disappointed when we realised that the use of the pool was NOT included. The daily cleaning service for the room was okay, but certain things weren't replenished (milk for coffee, water, bathrobe).

We really liked our room, the size was great for a 6 night stay and the location was amazing. I really appreciate that the hotel did their best to find us a lovely room after I asked for a room on a higher floor. The air condition was a must for us and it worked well and the staff was excellent. Breakfast was great, but after the third or fourth time it gets quite repetitive because it never changes.

In the spa area they have a separate area with a pool for small children, which could only be used for 2 hours in the morning at the same when breakfast was served.

I didn't get a room with a view of the water.

The room was very clean and above average. Bed was comfy and toilet was spacious. I liked the sensor lights next to the bed. Breakfast was excellent and there was a wide range of items in buffet.

Very nice and modern hotel on an excellent location. Rooms are modern, light and very clean. Staff is more than friendly. Perfect choice for a stay in Sønderborg. Don’t take any other hotel. Make the combination with the Michelin * star restaurant at the 17th floor.

Spent 2 nights from Sun-Tue. Because I booked the cheapest rates on booking.com, we could only get a room on 3rd floor with no view of the sea. Asked at checkin at 4pm for a higher floor but that was declined.

Spa was fantastic, but remember to book ahead. If you like deep tissue massage, try Rene with his special treatment. I will come back just for that! Relaxing in the salt infinity pools outside afterwards was joyfull for the waguyu meet (as Rene called it). Relaxing underwater music was a nice touch. Basic restaurant is great value especially the wine buffet (where you collect yourself). Still romantic and fantastic menu that changes. Been once before and second time was equally good. Breakfast has great quality products and a large glutenfree selection. Staff is friendly and although they close at 10 on weekdays they let you sit and enjoy the view coffee/tee despite the closure. No rush. No stress. Also worth mentioning local items in the buffet like the brunsvigerkage. As a Dane I find this fun as it demonstrates the commitment to local heritage. Had drinks in Freia restaurant and staff there was friendly too. Michelin star restaurant (17th) is always fully booked, so remember to book ahead. View from the panoramic deck on 16th is pretty and free of charge.
