We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

GermanyEverything was perfect. The bathroom shower does not have a door, which causes the whole bathroom floor to get wet when the shower is used.. but that is just a detail and did not bother us.
The hotel is well equipped and charming, at the heart of sonderborg and close to bars and restaurants. The breakfast is excellent, with different types of cheese, eggs, ham, bread, fruits... Everything you need!

A really nice small hotel in central Sonderborg. We had a delicious dinner in their restaurant, a good mix of Danish and Italian cuisine, and breakfast was delicious too. Lovely friendly staff and we will certainly return if in the area, which is beautiful.

It was simply a perfect stay. From the warm welcome to excellent dinner in a nice restaurant. I can absolutely recommend this hotel if you are looking for a cosy place close to the castle and the city center. I will surely visit Sønderborg again and I just know where to stay!

DenmarkThe only drawback are rather high rates for hotels everywhere in Denmark. One must accept it. On the other hand all staff are paid decently.
I loved everything. The hotel looks brand new yet it is already 5 years old. Room and bed were very comfortable.

DenmarkDon't expect the aircondition to keep up when it's 30 degrees outside - although that doesn't happen very often in Denmark. Rather odd bathroom interior with two tall glass doors to function as walls of the shower. There was penty of room for something more charming.
Excellent location, right in the middle of Sønderborg. Very nice staff. Charming restaurant with very good food (but book a table in high season, it's very popular and rightfully so). Good breakfast - not a massive selection, but I do prefer quality over quantity, and the have the best coffee I'v had on a hotel.

Excellent location in the middle of the city. Close to the town sqaure and restaurants and bars. 2 minutes walk to the harbour with more restaurants and ice cream shops. Super friendly and nice staff. Great breakfast, pizzas and beers :) 🍕

Paid for breakfast but had early checkout on Saturday for our flight meant we had to leave before breakfast started. Asked for a takeaway coffee but that is all they could supply. Buffet breakfast on other 2 days was very average
