Did not realise Annex was a hundred metres up the road. Room was a-bit on the small size compared to what was shown initially on your web booking but acceptable.

Main Hotel was lovely. Food excellent Evening bar and lounge was great. Staff were all very good and nothing was to much.

Lack of possibilities to darken the windows at night.

I booked this hotel based on the reviews and I was not disappointed. I missed the shared bathroom portion when booking, however there was nothing to worry about. All amenities were available, a robe and slippers were provided too! The bathrooms were squeaky clean and plentiful and always available. The hotel is in a very quiet location, close to the beach. Breakfast was lovely too.

I was surpriced that we have to get in line outside the entrance after we checked in to get a table for lunch. So we went somewhere else...

The breakfast and the coofee was good, very good beds.

This is the third time I'm staying at Brøndums Hotel (main building) and while they have made some minor changes like renovate the bathrooms and showers they've retained the same atmosphere in a very nice way. The staff is very professional and helpful, the restaurant is high class and the food (especially the seafood) is amazing. Rooms (in the main building) are small with the bare necessities, but clean and tidy. I can't recommend it enough.

Should have had room service

I loved the way they maintained the rooms. Cleanliness and service was very good. They have separate buildings for stay, kind of heritage ones and well kept but was a bit away from the main hotel. However, that's compensated with the good breakfast buffet and the restaurant serves amazing food! Had my Easter dinner and tried Oyster for the first time.. and went pretty well :) Staff is very friendly and hospitable. Peaceful lounge area to sit and read/work. And the location is very close to the city centre. Oh ya and the beach is round the corner about 1 km, so very convenient. Just that they don't have room service, so need to plan your meals or last min cravings and hunger well ahead. Otherwise had very peaceful, relaxed and a very happy stay! Thanks <3

I had such a wonderful stay at Brøndum’s. The staff were beyond helpful, the breakfast included was so much more than I expected, and the hotel was exceptionally clean (and historic!). I stayed in the Admiral’s Garden (annex). I’d highly recommend it if you are on a budget. The room was very spacious, had a sink, storage and amenities. There was no problem sharing the private bathroom facilities, especially in November.

Sometimes there was a fishy smell in the air from the nearby port, a bit unpleasant. It didn‘t come through to the room though because I kept the windows closed in this season!

It was very nice and very laid back in the month of november. I knew the rooms have no bathroom with the room but that is part of the experience. The shower situation in the corridor is fine!

Only one complaint but it is a significant one and is only RELEVANT IF YOU TRAVEL 3 PEOPLE OR MORE: Their family room actually has 3 beds despite it only says 2 beds on Booking as well on their own website. The hotels response to our complaint about this was that this was the guest's responsibility to contact the hotel beforehand and then they could book 3 people into a family room. How any potential guests would know how to do that without having been there before is beside me since there is no such information available on their website nor on booking. The only real conclusion I could draw as to why they would do this is to milk potential guests to book more rooms than they actually need which I think despicable behavior and they should be called out for it.

It was a bit inconvenient having to walk to the main hotel for breakfast, especially in the rain.

We had spacious accommodation in the annexe with comfortable beds. The breakfasts were good.

The only minor issue are the shared bathrooms. However, there are plenty of them, and the hotel thoughtfully provides slippers.

This historic hotel played a great role in the founding of the Skagen art museum next door. It beautifully maintains its historic ambience, with typical danish understatement, and without giving up modern comforts. Excellent beds and luxurious sheets, and a wonderful breakfast buffet with typical danish, as well as international choices. There is ample seating in the large garden, and a cozy and elegant lounge inside.
