Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

DenmarkThe food was dressed up to a level where it didn't belong. Evening: 3 course dinner, the food and its presentation was generally average and did not live up to the description, I had expected something more at that price. The breakfast was not a great experience either. Bland bread and boring buns, the rye bread had been in the freezer for a while and tasted like that. Scrambled eggs were dry and bland. It was my first time at Comwell, but I had expected a significantly better dining experience.

United KingdomNothing.
The main building was beautiful and there was a very good breakfast. Excellent parking and a lovely walk down to the sea from the hotel. The room was bigger than we expected as it was advertised as a small double but was just fine for 2. They were very welcoming, especially considering we didn’t arrive until 1am due to our flight being delayed.

Germanyi did not like the fact that one could not chose from a menu for evening meal. There was only one choice and this was expensive in relation to what one received. Also after 10:00 hrs the staff just seemed to disappear and assistance was not available.
Location was nice but remote

NetherlandsThe room was cramped and the rooms section reminded us of military barracks. No screens over the windows and we were afraid we would let in the mosquitos if we opened the windows at night. So it was a bit stuffy.
Striking architectural design in a stunning natural setting. The staff was especially friendly and helpful. Amazing breakfast. The breakfast alone is worth the stay there.

United Kingdomroom was rather small though functional. wish we’d booked directly with the hotel as they had discounted rates we missed out on (not their fault of course).
it was just off the Baltic Sea Cycle route so very convenient. unusual architecture with great views down to the sea. breakfast was good and there was a nice casual restaurant about 0.5km away that suited us very well (summarlyst). a 5 minute walk down to the sea where you could swim and a nice coastal path to Korsør

GermanyThe MAIN thing: Sign-posting of the hotel must be improved!!! Why are there no proper signs on the main roads 265 and 150? A detailed description how to get to the hotel in Booking would help as well. The hotel is located in the middle of nowhere and there is only one road to get there. Car navigation system guided me into a small country lane that turned into a dead-end in a farming area. The suggested detour misguided into the forest with no access to the hotel either. Once you find the small sign "Camping" you are on the right track but even here additional sign-posting is a MUST! The restaurant offered an extremely small choice of food. Quality was very nice but only a few items on the menu card is far too little. For example, no salads available... This is poor!
Good breakfast quality and good choice of items. Good food quality in restaurant Comfortable atmosphere Good and comfortable spaces for casual meetings

SwedenThe rooms. The room that we had (I think it was 107) was NOT a family room at all. Felt like we were staying in an office. The two children's bed was a very small pull out sofa to share, there was barely enough room for them (4 year old and 6 year old). Would hate to try to fit older children or adults in there. The space in the room was taken up by a big conference table and there was not much else. Lots of brick, sharp corners and concrete steps covered by a cheap thin carpet. A closet full of dirty cleaning products, very old bathroom. Caffeine ration of two coffee sachets only, felt a bit cheap. There WAS a lot of cobwebs all over the room, and a general feeling of the room being rundown and old. Happily the weather was great so we stayed out of the room as much as possible. The room's location did mean that it was very warm in the afternoon too on a sunny day, no air conditioning or strong curtains to block out the sun so we didn't have much choice than to stay out of the room until it cooled down.
Breakfast was really great. Lots of choices and healthy foods, delicious produce. Really was one of the best things about the stay. The conference centre itself seemed really nice, lots of open space and a beautiful deck. Lovely outdoors, woods and fields to walk in and a quick stroll to the water's edge.
