Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

FranceBed wasn’t comfortable and when I stayed it was quite warm and the room lacked air conditioning so it was difficult to sleep in the heat.
Good location close by a scenic lake area. Nice staff.

NorwayQuite old and torn down, the room needs an upgrade, the bathroom definitely as it looks to be from 1960/70. Room equipped with a small kitchenette, but no utensils, plates or anything except a few glasses, so pretty useless. Breakfast was offered at an extra charge but much better and cheaper to go to the nearby bakeries. A lot of noise from the street just outside of the room. Hard to keep windows open during hot summer nights due to noise from passing traffic. Quite expensive for what you get.

DenmarkThe so called facilities were disgusting old and dirty carpets the bath room was relatively ok, but the bed was really disgusting, old, dark brown spotted, the edge of the metal frame was predominant, the spring were noisy. I wouldn't recommend it the a dog. Since the room was not refundable at 895 DDK we are talking af a trap, no more no less. Stay away.

It’s a very old fashioned hotel in a very quiet village. How they can charge so much for a room with a soft bed and no curtains is beyond me, and breakfast was not even included.

Irelandwhen are got our room, someone had been using the room and therefore bed was not made and room was nor clean. we were given another room at 3am in the morning as we arrive late at 2am. we contacted the person and were told to go down to the reception and get another key of a room, which we did, the room had no shower or bathroom in it. we were very upset as we were getting married the that morning at 10.30. as a result we have very little sleep. we did get breakfast free which was fine and the manager apologized to us. I feel very strongly that we should get some refund for what happened to our room.
