How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Bathroom could use a renovation and it's a bit overpriced overall.
Good clean room with a balcony. Breakfast was ok, could have a bit more variety.

We were a bit surprised with the limited choice (only one starter, main and dessert) at the restaurant. Although this could be related to the extra visitors that were at the hotel due to a wedding in town. The food however was very good
We enjoyed the beachfront location and the free bikes. Staff was very friendly and helping us getting around town and the area

the main hotel is in another building without any charm. Room has a balcony, but with view in the room of your neighbors across. Very few rooms have sea sight. No elevator.
good location with little beach just across the street. Nice breakfast buffet with lot of choice. Friendly staff at reception and in restaurant.

Given the standards of the hotel it is a bit surprising that there is no complimentary coffee available for guests in the lobby or in the rooms
Confortable room and ok breakfast. Convenient location not far from city. Walking distancr from sea side and lot of parking space

SPA was a bit of a disappointment, dinner was lukewarm. Its winter food should be hot including the starters. The food was tasty though.. The bed was small. The bathroom shower very disappointing.
Parking was good, staff were helpful

Beds seemed very small and had thin memory foam mattress perched on top of base.Staff seemed a little terse and we couldnt access our room till right on 3pm.No information given about spa facilities when I asked was told you need a package no other information still given. Our remote for tv didnt work batteries not replaced just handed another one and told that might work!!
Garage parking for bikes.Exceptional breakfast, including health shots of veggies and ginger.Access to filtered water around hotel.Able to walk across to beach and down jetty.Although hotel was very busy it was quiet at night.

Breakfast was disappointing and very busy. I missed a small refrigerator in our room.
The location is beautiful but you need a car to get there. Enough parking space. Beds were very comfortable. Unfortunately it was cold during our stay otherwise we could have swum in front of the hotel. Staff was nice. Good variety of cocktails at the bar

We ate at the restaurant, which looked very promising. Very beautiful location. Unfortunately they were understaffed and so the dishes from the menu were not of the quality you would expect for the price that we paid.
The hotel was beautiful, clean rooms, nice staff and good wellness facilities. Also the breakfast was very good.

Noise during late evening and night, I had to use ear plugs. Not great when you really need to sleep. Also, the breakfast buffet was a bit chaotic - use of gloves and directions around the buffet did not make sense and people just ignored it. Either do buffet with disinfection of hands before and only let in a few people at the time, or do table service, no buffet.

Location of the room was above a noisy personell / smoking / rubbish dump. Overlooking a wall.
The location of the hotel and private beach are wonderfull.

Great hotel! Good value for money and would love to stay there again. Travelled for work and had a truck but the outdoor parking was spacious. Would also go here with my family. Very nice views!

Breakfast very good, location perfect, however, dinner in the villa restaurant was beyond exceptional. Absolutely outstanding service, menu beautiful and I was served a gorgeous glass of red which went magically with the veal main.
