How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Cleanliness, the paint was chipping, smelled like vomit etc.
I’ve stayed in other locations for generator hostels that have been cleaner and nicer vibe.

I was lived in 6/F , the corridor carpet is very dirty.
The staffs are so kind and helpful. The location is good.

The elevator wasn’t working and the other one was really small and slow - we were living on the 6th floor, so it was a problem. Bathroom: with shower only with the curtain it was impossible to use the bathroom after the shower, 5 minutes of shower and the water was everywhere in the bathroom. Also it was kind of noisy.
It is very good localized, to the main sightseeing places - ca. 20 minutes walk. Overall good value for the price.

There could've been an indoor area with sofas and not just tables. Also nice to have privacy curtains for beds.
Very well located, there's good open areas, and everything works as it should.

No towels in the room so bring yours or get ready to buy from them

Bathroom was bit clogged and there was not many possibilities to hang your things. Would be nice to have them bit more comfortable. Also, all female dormitory would have felt more better.
Good budget accommodation at excellent location. Rooms are basic and mixed, but if you just need a bed for night it is perfectly fine. I slept very well, breakfast was good, and there is a storage place for your things, just bring own padlock.

The staff at the reception was quite oblivious to our presence and didnt attend to us properly. Quite cold reception. The hostel restaurant had barely anything to eat at the time of checkin. We were tikd that BF had finished and kitchen was shut for lunch. It seemed ridiculous. Kids were hungry and they just had croissants for lunch. The room was on the top floor and was very hot and the windows didnt open up for ventilation.

The room was very small, there wasn’t a hairdryer. There wasn’t a common kitchen. The floor in the room was quite dirty.
Location was great, check out was quick. It’s ok for a one night stay.

Smelly pipes in the bathroom, difficult to get rid of it. We had to keep the bathroom door closed to avoid the bad smell.

The space was very small and my hostel had 5/6 people, which made the space feel extra small. Sleeping on the upper bunk at night got very hot and I found it difficult to get a good night's rest, but luckily, I only needed a short stay. The elevators were very slow.
The female-only hostel room I stayed in was very clean and everyone respected each other's items, space, and belongings. The rooms were clean and everyone was friendly. The location is great and is very close and easy to reach the city and the airport from.

Slow elevator, no place to eat or a small table, small bathroom and toilets and definitely should add some shower stuff included in the price such as soap and shampoo

There was no fan or air conditioner. There is a lot of partying noise. The TV didn't work. The bathroom is basic - there are no hand towels or floor mat. It really is a place for backpackers, but not at a backpacker's price. I know Copenhagen is expensive, but you can probably get better for your money elsewhere.
The location is good and the bed was comfortable. The staff were friendly.

The staff were impolite and not helpful at all. I had to wait with all my luggage for them to stop laughing at memes on their phones and help me with the check in. There was supposed to be online check in but the device where I had to scan the QR code was not working. I tried to ask about the checkout a few days later but they were again super “busy” talking to each other and I could not get a hold of them.

they don’t keep your luggage for free, actually the lockers are a bit expensive (the library has free lockers for everyone;)) the check-in is late (14.00h) and you can not do it earlier there is no kitchen
the common areas were great, big terrace and a lot of tables and games inside too :) in the 8 bed room there are two sinks, two showers and three mirrors, what is really cool also the beds are kind of divided into four and four so it feels more private
