HATED the bar right below our window and everyone was SOOOOO loud it was hard to go to sleep. The exterior is AWFUL, sketchy, gross, and the entrance was horrible to try to find.

The staff were impolite and not helpful at all. I had to wait with all my luggage for them to stop laughing at memes on their phones and help me with the check in. There was supposed to be online check in but the device where I had to scan the QR code was not working. I tried to ask about the checkout a few days later but they were again super “busy” talking to each other and I could not get a hold of them.

they don’t keep your luggage for free, actually the lockers are a bit expensive (the library has free lockers for everyone;)) the check-in is late (14.00h) and you can not do it earlier there is no kitchen

the common areas were great, big terrace and a lot of tables and games inside too :) in the 8 bed room there are two sinks, two showers and three mirrors, what is really cool also the beds are kind of divided into four and four so it feels more private

The room is too small with only basic equipment. One small pillow available only per person. You have to keep windows closed all night because of the noise from the street.

Perfect location near the Kongens Nytorv square, the Nyhavn and the kings garden. Area is bustling with restaurants, bars and cafes. The hotel houses a nice bar with games and arcades.

The bed was bad . Because it made from iron and some parts already broke. Especially in front of the pillow. So when somebody turn in the bed , that iron side all the time making voices at night. The toilet bin was not enough for 8 people. Because of that the toilet all the time looks dirty. They have to change with big one.

The room was too small and the toilet smelled. Some members of staff were very helpful while others not so much.

The organise events for every night of the week. It was a very lively environment and the food at the restaurant of the hostel was very good! The terrace is beautiful and location was perfect, near a few bars which were open at night. I liked that there was the option to choose for a female dormitory.

The room was very warm but there was a fan. While the rooms were very clean, the main hall carpets could do with a vacuum/hoover.

The central location and the reasonable value for money for a double room. The staff on the foyer were so helpful and accommodating.

The rooms were really small. There was no place to hang towels and people sleeping in opposite bunks could not open their drawers at the same time. The sink was also really small, so you couldn't fill your water bottle. There were no curtains around the bed.

The rooms were clean and modern. The staff was really friendly. There is a bar that serves pretty good food. The location is also really good with most sightseeing at walkable distance and a supermarket right across. Everyone in our dorm arrived on the same day and were around the same age which made socialising easier.

Everything was good. Maybe if there was a kitchen could be even better.

I had good time with my family, staff was friendly and available, I like that there are table games on the bar. The hostel is very close from the center.

During my booking. Mixed dorm was an option, and a second option just said “dorm” , went for it thinking it was female.. but after checking in, I realized i was the only female. It should have been well specified. So it was quite an uncomfortable stay. Luckily boys were respectful and decent, except one that made me uncomfortable few times.

In the room, toilet and bathroom are in the separated compartments. There is no washbasin in the toilet meaning that after checking out the plumbing you need to contact surfaces just before washing the hands. Maybe this is not a problem of many of you but it is good to know (:

The social atmosphere was too much for us. There was singing, partying and shouting until 4am every night. We could not sleep well.

The toilet and shower facilities did need a little attention and as always, the hostel has to lose a point for a lack of privacy curtains! Really makes such a big difference particularly if other guests insist on turning on the main room light at all hours of the night, as was the case with this visit—was quite amused to see my bunk mate had resorted to hanging their entire duvet as a makeshift curtain but speaks volumes as to why they should be standard across all hostels. The hostel is in a fairly popular area with a lot of foot and road traffic so can be a little noisy at certain times, but for a location this central I think it’s an acceptable compromise.

First time staying in this particular location but not my first time staying with Generator hostels both within the UK and overseas, haven’t had a negative experience with any of them. This is another hostel chain that frames itself around being young and trendy which is no bad thing if that’s what you’re looking for! They offer plenty of info about events and activities to take part in during your stay. The location of this hostel is fantastic, centrally-located and quite literally over the road from Rosenberg Castle and Copenhagen’s incredible Botanical Gardens/Natural History Museum. Staying here also puts you very close to the shopping streets of Indre By, and Tivoli Gardens is just a short walk away too. Walk right outside the main entrance and there is a Netto supermarket which has decent selection and prices. As at all Generator’s in my experience, the beds are pretty good and comfy compared to similarly priced hostels, and the staff are always chatty and friendly.
