Always stay at hotel Royal when im Aarhus. It has a great location and great staff! The staff were super friendly to our dog. They are refurbishing so not all facilities were available and the carpet still needed to replaced in the hallways. We had a large renovated room.

I needed the company name on my invoice and it was difficult to convince the staff to do so and issue a new invoice for me. Whereas I do it almost in every hotel that I stay without any problem. So, provide all the information just before booking your room; then there shouldn't be any problem.

The hotel is at heart of Aarhus. I loved the location. The room was super spacious and very large. The breakfast was rich and healthy. The hotel was full of paintings. The restaurant was very nice with natural light streaming from roof.

We felt the breakfast was a bit mediocre in choices & when the coffee ordering screen gave up, there was no alternative! A bit disappointing.

The hotel is a very centrally located, right next to the Cathedral. 12 minutes walk from the train station. Walk to ARoS Art museum. Nice , elegant old style building with Spacious room. Very friendly staff and always willing to help. Excellent breakfast, not too many varieties but quality foods. The breakfast place is very nicely decorated.

Everything was great! Nothing to complain about.

Our stay was perfect! It was just where we wanted to be around many areas we wanted to see. The complementary breakfast was so delicious and every morning we would have something different.

Although the room was nice, it didn't look like the pictures on booking. The pictures on booking are aligned to the overall esthetic of the hotel, our room wasn't. Because the hotel is located in the city center, if there are any events in the city, it might be noisy. There was a festival for the first night we were there and it was really loud, but they gave us ear plugs, which helped. The rest of the nights were really quiet and there were no issues.

This hotel is really beautiful, right in the city center (you won't get a better location than this) and the staff is friendly and helpful. - our room was big - good water pressure - good breakfast with many options - usually quiet

The Hotel Royal is very grand! From the reception, which has a giant fish tank built into it, the chair in the lift, and all the amazing portraits of the Danish Kings & Queens for over a thousand years in the hallways. The breakfast is fabulous, the room quiet and the decor was beautiful. I loved my curtains, heated bathroom floor and a face washer. Staff are very friendly, helpful. The hotel is opposite the Cathedral and in the centre of everything. Excellent location. I highly recommend for you to plan a stay here.

Although our room was sizeable there was a lack of drawer space and hooks for clothing etc Personally I felt the bed was a little too soft and being at the front of the building there was a fair bit of noise from revellers outside, at night.

All staff without exception were charming. The building had great character and decor and was very well situated in the centre of town. Our room was sizeable with a great view of the cathedral. The breakfast spread was super fresh with a good range of products and fine coffee.

I can only think of one thing that I would like to see improved, and that is the breakfast. It was a bit simple and basic and not in line with the exceptional standard of the hotel, but then again it was made clear to us that the breakfast was Continental, so I guess that’s what it was. Besides that, all 100% !

We were provided with a very nice room with view on the main square. Housekeeping was great and staff very friendly. Location of the hotel is excellent.
