Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

FranceThe insonorisation wasn't perfect, we could hear the people in the room above us. Breakfast on the rooftop took too long to be served, and when it finally came it was a bit confused. For a hotel of that standard it needs to be improved.
We loved the general atmosphere of the hotel: the lounge, bar and rooftop were all great places to hang out. Food and drinks are delicious. Staff was very nice and location is perfect.

Great location and the very best staff. So friendly, very international and helpful! Lovely rooms with plenty of space to unpack and really relax. Pretty bar area and quaint terrace. We enjoyed a special wine pairing dinner for NYE which was fantastic.

MonacoSome of the service elements did not live up to expectation based on star rating and price. One day despite leaving the “please make up my room sign” out, we returned at 3pm and it had still not been done. On another occasion we were made to feel a bit unwelcome when we wanted to sit in the lobby for a drink as we had a toddler and pram. We offered to put the pram down and were told to take it to our room (it felt a bit like they would rather we just left).
Location was great. Cocktail bar was very good (staff and drinks).

Beautiful boutique hotel. Felt luxurious with plenty of style and understated glamour. Also comfortable and contemporary. Everything was such fantastic quality without being fussy. Gorgeous breakfast. Amazing coffee. Best cocktails we have ever had. The toiletries were gorgeous. The attention to detail was insane. But nothing was fussy. To edit with such judgement and taste is such an achievement. Cannot recommend enough.

Fabulous hotel, amazing location , lovely helpful staff, great busy bar with good staff “Logan” was great ! The restaurant for dinner was absolutely EXCELLENT, don’t go anywhere else , the room was very small but well equipped and complimentary mini bar was a nice touch, beds/pillows very comfortable . I would definitely recommend this hotel .
