How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Depending on the apartment sometimes getting the water to get hot is a issue
The apartments are lovely. It is always a great stay. The staff doormen and cleaning ladies are amazing! I recommend it to everyone visiting Santo Domingo

My only issue is that the washer and dryer in our unit was out of service. I wish they would've told us that before hand. Our stay would've been more comfortable if we could have washed our clothes.
The apartment is clean and provided towels, a roll of toilet paper, and napkins. Additionally, it also had plates, coffee mugs, utensils, pots and pans. The staff was very friendly and we're able to accommodate us for early arrival and we extend our stay very easily. I like that the building has a gated parking and security at the front desk.

the room has no window so you're in a room by yourself there is no window there is no view but it's a good size room

We received an apartment that was not up to par and did not fit our expectations as marketed on booking.com. The apartment was very small, needed a renovation and the neighbors were loud. After asking for a new apartment, we received great service and were moved to a better apartment that fitted our needs (spacious, quit and overall nice)
We loved the location and size of the apartment. It was very spacious and had all the facilities we needed for out couple getaway

The Internet cut out on me on my last day.
The apartment was clean and adequately equipped for my stay. It's located near to a supermarket so getting food items was easy. Everything worked, and the building was quiet. The staff was helpful despite the language barrier. The gym is small but equipped enough to get a workout done. I would definitely stay here again. The neighbourhood is quiet, clean and safe to walk on the road. It's also located close to the centre of SD

The pool was not heated. It is located indoors so the sun never warms it. However the manager allowed me to use the pool of their partners which was a 5 minute walk from Central Park Tower.
The staff was very professional and attentive to my needs 24/7. My stay was for 48 days.

The staff was very accommodating and helpful. They made us feel like we were at home. Helped us with taxi, ideas of places to eat and even when we checked out before our taxi came, they allowed us to store our bags in their office. The property is great as well, but the staff made our stay the most memorable.

Maintenance for plumbing system should be routinely check and updated, and it needs to be exterminate maybe ( Because of it being and older building and there's construction going on next door ) once or twice a year ... Also the hot water never came close to being warm ...
Location , Location, Location and the staff was great and responsive with and to all my concerns and I would definitely be staying there again ! There's a major Supermarket and the end of the block and a major shopping mall within a 10-15 minutes walk away from Central Park Tower ... Plus there's a barbershop and a few beauty salon's less than 10 minutes away ... Location, Location

The hot tub was quite dirty and didn't work. There were insects in the kitchen.

Very responsive and convenient to deal with the Central Park Tower team, I booked only a few hours before coming, and extended my stay twice, ending up staying 6 weeks in total. I really felt at home.
