The customer service is awful. It took a whole day for them to get my room. They upgraded me and then my lights went out in my room and when I requested compensation, I was told they could give me a gift basket

The room was not very clean and most days they did not make up our room unless we told them to do it. Every day we came back from the beach we had to go looking for clean towels and ask them to pick up the room.

To many stray cats on property. Wish other breakfast options were available other than buffet. And tried to sell you as soon as you get there by confusing you to get coupons for the spa

The check in experience was a bit frustrating as the hotel stuff told me they didn't get the booking information about my stay. That might've been because I booked it right before coming there but I think they should've been able to see this information immediately. In the end, I had to contact customer support of booking who helped to resolve the issue by contacting them on my behalf.

The stuff is friendly, good restaurants that are not too over the top but have great quality of the food. Nice that there are places on the beach that allow you to do different activities such as surfing.

Not a big fan of the showers. For one, the weather stripping was on incorrectly and the water spilled out of the shower into the main bathroom and the hallway. Secondly, the divert from the hand held shower to the rain overhead shower nozzle did not work.

The overall condition of the resort is exceptional. The night lighting of the resort is very nice. Everyone at the resort is extremely friendly. It's nice that most of the employees speak some English.

Cleanliness of room not great unfortunately (2 days not cleaned) guest services/ reception staff could have been better. Here for 20 year wedding anniversary and asked for banner on door, champagne in room and to book a specific time In restaurant none of which happened (not 5* service)

Food was so-so, fine but not great. Management issues in how the place is run. There are competing sales channels around the resort with people up-selling goods and services to you. There are many package upsells. Don’t do the arcade package - your kids won’t use it enough and one of our kids was turned away even though we paid $110 for her to play for 5 days. Training isn’t very thorough (for instance, staff don’t yield to guests on walkways, not really a customer-always-right mentality). Wine list for purchased wine (the free house stuff isn’t very good) includes some familiar names, but at a huge mark-up (a bottle we buy at home for $25-30 was $125). Lots of people expect tips in USD, which gets a little tiresome. Heavily American guest roster so it is not as much of an international experience as other places we’ve stayed in DR, also probably explains generally higher prices and tip expectations.

Gorgeous location on Macao beach. Resort is new so facilities are all in good shape. Kids loved that they could make friends and go do their one thing. The teen center was great for our 16yr old and the water park was heavily utilized by our 10 and 12 yr olds.

I got bit by mosquitoes on the property - so wear a bug repellent!

Very nice hotel but when you are there you will only be at hotel - nothing within walking distance. They do have shuttle to a mall but I never got a chance to use it! Overall a nice stay!

When compared to first place we stayed, we missed more greenery around us, as the resort has relatively very little of that. Not really a drawback per se, but the crowd here is mostly westerners with lot of international music played at pools - did not have a feeling that I have left Europe

This was 2nd hotel/resort we stayed during our family trip to Punta Cana. The pools were great, restaurants and dinning exceptional (9+ out of 10) - i still wonder how they manage to give so big variaty of quality food for so many people, some shows/enterntainment in the evening. Ovwrall felt like in high class place.

This resort advertises as ocean view and IT IS NOT OCEANVIEW. I would have not picked this resort if I was aware of this. Waking up to ocean view is the only thing I waited months and paid extra for any did not get it. Very disappointment and started my vacation on the wrong foot.

There should be a lazy river attendant / staff for the rafts. Just to guide / maintain order. The handicap ramp is not easily accessible ( direct route ) because the hotel has huge stairs leading from main lobby into the main property u have to go “ around “ this via elevator/ ramps or walk / ride on the golf cart route for more direct path.

I liked the staff they were super friendly and attentive. I enjoyed the lazy river. The activities were great by/ in the pool area . There is a local fish / vendor market 2 mins from the resort on the beach. N safety was paramount. The security maintain the people ( vendors or hotel guest ) off the property. N they actually paid attention to what is going on.
