This is a beautiful, secure boutique hotel with lovely rooms each decorated with taste and super comfortable beds. Hot water shower which was a treat as I didn’t even get that at the Radisson. The staff is very kind, helpful and accommodating in every way. It’s about a 15-20 min walk to the best parts of colonial city or a 3$ Uber. The roof terrasse is super nice and relaxing. Definitely a gem I would return and recommend in a heartbeat.

I loved everything. Just a few touches could make it perfect: > a pull out luggage rack > reusable launderable bath mat > a shelf for personal toileteries in the shower

Loved how the hotel gives high quality affordably. The rooftop terrace is perfect to get some air. There are many conveniences nearby, including good restaurants.

Everything was absolutely perfect! The room is super cosy and clean. All the equipment we needed was available (fridge, microwave, AC, etc.) and the terrace was great for chilling and dining. Finally, the staff was welcoming and profesionnal. We fully recommend the Hostal boutique 53.

The hot water shower was a bit unreliable and there wasn't really a view (blind wall) from the room.

I really like the atmosphere on the roof. for the Panorama of the city. The location is very good. It's very near to the Zona Colonial. I hope I could return there in the future.

Everything was fine. The water in the bathroom didn’t really get hot but I think this is the standard in a such a hot country.

The room was cute and super clean with everything that you need when traveling. Bed was comfortable, it has AC, TV, towels, water and storage. Great value for money. The staff was super helpful, reception in deed 24 hours. My flight was late, I contacted them and there was people to check me in at 4:30am

In fact I don’t have anything on my “unlike” list, considering the proposal and cost/benefit it was a great choice.

The properly is kinda new, everything is very organized and clean. There’s a nice rooftop where you can enjoy the sunset and smoke a nice Dominican cigar! The staff was also great, very thoughtful.

Some will consider it a disadvantage that the Hostal is outside the zona colonial (although it is walking distance), but do bear in mind that the zona colonial can be very noisy at night.

The Hostal deserves its good rating on booking.com. It is very well managed by Mickael. It's clean, safe and quiet; we slept well on the quality mattress for two nights. There is a good restaurant (recommended by Mickael) with Dominican dishes a 5 minutes walk away. The city's main museums and modern art gallery are also within walking distance.

The only thing I can suggest is to add a small shelf in the bathroom just to put creams, shampoo, or simply clothes.

The hostal is located in a calle not very far away from the Zona Colonial. You can reach it simply by walking. My room was very small but perfect for my needs. Also, it can be a plus if the day is very humid and hot and you need to refresh the room very fast! There's a small refrigerator (very useful), a very cozy sofa and a super comfy bed. The staff has been very kind and helpful with me with the late check in/late check out and all my needs! Generally, everything was clean and tidy. The bathroom is very big and clean, with hot water. The terrace is super nice: so relaxing and incredibly silent. I read a book and I felt like I wasn't in the center of Santo Domingo!
