The single only thing that could have made our stay better would have been a larger pool! But I'm not fussy and I loved every part of it.

The location was spot on. Walking distance to the beach, but far enough from the main road that it was extremely peaceful. Everything else about the hotel was incredible. The staff, the room, the beautiful gardens and lagoon, and the free kayak rentals. Just amazing. Already planning our next stay for a few weeks time.

Upon arrival, the person in charge of checking us in wasn’t very nice and didn’t explain anything or even showed us around. The next day we met the owner of the place who was very nice.

Kibayo villa is a truly beautiful place where to stay while in Cabarete. Really nice design, nice pool and magical garden along a river.

Really wonderful place. Kibayo offers a little zen just about a comfortable distance away from all the hustle and bustle from the town. Offers a community-type of vibe with a small pool, common kitchen and a lagoon right next to it. Hosts are lovely and welcoming here Really great experience.

Need to be aware it’s not super central, but we knew it and rented a motorbike. Little privacy in the Manifester room (see-through blinds), this is more a constructive feedback as it was ok because it was not often crowded in the pool area.

Design, nature, concept, people/employees, etc! We were able to enjoy the lagoon and event space to chill and read, stretch, etc. as they were no events and that was really a plus! Dani super helpful and all the staff in general. :) Súper recommended!

Beautiful location, just close enough to get everywhere quickly, but secluded enough to have a quiet time. Located next to a beautiful lagoon, with kayak and SUP boards available. Everything follows a clearly visible concept, which creates an extraordinary harmony! Loved it!

The pool was a bit small and warm for our tastes but others might appreciate the warmth.

The included breakfast was just delicious. Our family tried all of the choices over the course of our stay and everything was great. The location was peaceful and beautiful and a little removed from the beach resort hype. The room was very comfortable and attractive. Best of all, the owners and staff were just lovely and made us feel right at home.

The entire vibe of Kibayo is chill and positive. The staff is the best! The breakfasts are the best we’ve had in the DR and rate at the top for anyplace we’ve stayed around the world. In the evening, we laid back on beanbags and took in the chill sounds spun by the owner. There was even live music one night. Take the kayak out on the canal that runs through the property. Really fun! We highly recommend Kibayo and plan to return next year.

This location is a gem. The owners were super genuinely friendly. The staff was amazing. They will help you with any needs you have. My brother and I booked only one night at this hotel because we had another reservation with another hotel. I wish kibayo had availability. I would have canceled the other location.

Kibayo is a little haven, tucked away down a quiet road but close to the restaurants and beaches of lively Cabarete. Every detail, from the gorgeous gardens that extend down to the river, the grass-thatched bar, the delicious breakfasts and the general ambience, gives the impression that that peace, tranquility and excellent service lie at the heart of the operation. We were upgraded to the 'Soul Searcher` room which was charming - simple and calming with a fabulous wrap-around balcony, which meant lots of light and wonderful sunrise views. The staff were wonderfully friendly and helpful which added to the pleasure of our stay here.

We pretty much loved everything but if we have to say something: (1) breakfast can be small for some of us and we sometimes doubled it as we usually take a brunch on vacation (we appreciate the late breakfast hours though, until 12), (2) the toilets equipment could be of a higher quality even though it functioned perfectly.

The vibe is something else there and I believe this is thanks to the well designed house and bedrooms and how the garden is displayed bit as well all the details here and there all in harmony. I find that the owners (and designers of that gem) found the right balance between eco-friendly and confort, removing things that don’t bring much value to offer a faire price. The moment we arrived in the property and then in our bedroom, we felt relaxed and decided to extend our reservation. Thanks to the adorable staff too !

Worth renting a scooter or car for your time here, otherwise you will rely on taxis a lot. Possible to get one dropped off for your arrival if you ask.
