Some of the staff were not very helpful or polite by the pool area, which is a shame because checkin and restaurant staff are really nice but service by the pool was rude at times, could be because they were not enough of them. Also cleaners wouldn’t get to our room sometimes until 4pm and wouldn’t put in new towels despite taking used ones.

Hotel is big & beautiful, with a lot of restaurant options, bars & entertainment, great selection of food and multiple pools to choose from.

The property is huge so navigation may be an issue. Although the room is very spacious, be aware that there is no full door between the toilet and the room, i.e.no sound/odor proofing. Staff is mostly between pretty good and excellent for customers with no Spanish, but the Valley restaurant staff - do yourself a favor and skip it, tried two times, regretted both times because of the stuff. Also don't plan to spend too much time in the sea - it is a very narrow line between the seaweed and numerous boats, although the beach itself is very nice. And the last piece is what you'll start with - the check-in. Given that the hotel is huge, check-in takes ages, be prepared to spend at least an hour (maybe more) if you arrive at 3pm.

The property itself is gorgeous - huge territory, modern facilities, decent aquapark for kids, great choice of restaurants, excellent food variety and food quality, good a la carte restaurants, friendly staff and absolutely stunning main pool, probably the biggest I've ever seen. The room and the balcony are absolutely amazing. The Michael Jackson show was pretty cool too.

Adult only is for all people 18+ and the adult only bracelet does not get you anything special. Basically we paid $350 extra for nothing. The ocean view rooms do not all have views. Ours were blocked by trees and buildings so we paid extra for nothing again. It was hard to find were to sit on beach and pools. The resort is more for families then adults only for sure.

The resort's app works great if you wanna book dinner reservations or order room service, but the one thing I think they could do better is updating the daily activities (specially the night entertainment). The place is huge, so it is not the best to walk around to find stuff to do. It would be great if we could know in advance if there's a party going on at the beach or a show at the theater or the boulevard, for example.

The resort is simply awesome! Very clean, amazing food, lots of stuff to do, the pool area is really nice and so is the beach area. The whole place looks very new and well maintained. The staff is the most animated and friendly I've ever seen, shout out to the entertainment team (Wolf and Leandro are the best!). Even though the resort was packed, the service was great, we didn't have to wait for a long time to get food and drinks. We had the best time at Lopesan Costa Bavaro and would definitely come back.

The design of this hotel is so sophisticated. All of the restaurants were elegant and stylish. Food was amazing. Bed was very comfy, rooms are spacious. Beach is beautiful!

None of the pools were heated. Not even the childrens one. Having stated in this hotel in the months of May and December, pool heaters are definitely needed in december

Although the cleaning crew were friendly and attended to all our needs, I think the cleanliness of the rooms and patios could be a lot better. The entertainment at the hotel could be a lot better as well.

The staff acted as if they didn’t like their job. It also takes hours just for room service to bring you toilet paper. The food gave my boyfriend and I food poisoning. They also look at you as if you are less than if you opt out for the cheaper room. Beautiful views horrible staff and food!
