Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

BrazilThis was our fourh time at Majestic, the first one in Mirage. And it was amazing, just like the others in Elegance. Everything works, the services, the bedroom, the food, beverages, drinks, the staff. Wow, what can I say about the staff? All that kindness, the smiles. They're ALL fantastic. But I like to give a really really special thanks to Joanna, Elvira and Gustavo from the pool bar. And an even more special thanks to Rafael, that works on that same pool bar. What a man!! You all made our time so mucho better. Counting days to go back to this paradise!

United StatesLayout of the suite has very little privacy. Resort is stingy with towels in room and for the pool, especially with how warm and humid it can get. Food whilst good, we're a bit small for entrees ar resturants. Hours for pools are odd and seem to close early.
The property and beach were very clean and it never once felt crowded. The butler service was very responsive and very understanding with any request. The food was always of good quality (except the lobster), buffets had a good rotation of foods and selection of different foods. Beds and pillows were comfortable.

United StatesKids only and adults only. On the Majestic Mirages property you have kids only sections- pool, lounge and beach areas, as well as Adults only pool, lounge, bar and beach areas. We had 2 occasions where we were told to leave the adults only section of beach, it so happened that the adults only section was the only clean/clear and more shallow section of beach that day. Another occasion was when my wife and I had to have our bracelets ( key cards to enter your room ) reset. We went to the adult only lounge ( there was no one in there except the receptionist) and we were told the kids couldn't be in there, so where had to walk a to another lounge and get the bracelets reprogrammed. What I'm trying to get at is why are adults with no children allowed in the family areas but families with children are not allowed in the adults only section.
Overall the Majestic Mirage was amazing. There are 7 restaurants located on the property all of which are great. The service is very good. Our butler Melvin made sure our stay was memorable and would send us a daily schedule of activities/shows going on throughout the resort. The entertainment team led by Orlando were awesome. Whether it be group yoga/exercise by the pool/ beach or the various shows they put on throughout the day. There is a kids club where you can bring your younger children. They also have daily activities at the kids club which include lots of arts and crafts, making pizza, dance parties, and a small water park with water slides. You also have a baby sitter option to drop off your younger children younger than 5 at an additional fee. Maria and the girls @ kids club truly were amazing and kept all the kids beyond entertained. There is a family pool and an adult only section both include poolside bars. We had a family suite and it had more than enough space for my family of 5. We had the pool view and it came a private balcony some patio furniture and a hot tub. The master bedroom comes with a walk in closet and a separate stand up shower and his and her sinks. The main common areas are ELEGANT! The set up, decorations and ambience truly are amazing!

United StatesThere was a mix up with our room at check in. The reservations for restaurants took a long time, even though the restaurants were mostly empty upon arrival.
The resort was clean and well kept, and staff were very friendly. We enjoyed the food and activities. There was a mix up with our room, but it was remedied by our butler, Alan. We really enjoyed the spa, including the massages. I discuss the resort in depth in my Better Travel With Food blog.

United StatesThe food definitely could have been better for the amount we paid. There was some staff, mostly the female staff in the lobby bar, the sports bar and any other bar that weren't quite as friendly as all the other staff. Most of the male staff were amazing and so helpful but I didn't get the same energy from half of the female staff.
The bed was super soft! The property was absolutely beautiful and the entertainment staff were fun, friendly and memorable.

CanadaI saw so many flies on the foods at the Seaside buffet all the time. It was only for that particular restaurant and the rest of them were clean and nice. I wish they had some lids on the food stands so that we do not eat the foods where the flies sat. The food did not taste great. I wish the hotel hire some good chefs and let them teach the rest of staffs to improve the food quality. It was way better than the other resorts.
My butler, Francisco's service was outstanding. He go out of the way to find my lost Sunglasses which the bartender of the sports bar left it to the office. He was there whenever we needed. We did not have to search internet or wait for a long time to get information to be connected to the hotel front desk.

United StatesRoom service takes about 45-1hr. Typical time I presume but the resort is HUGE so when you get the food it's cold. Probably because there are so many requests to fill. Maybe think about microwaves for the rooms. Also, the toilets never fully flush on the first or second sometimes third try lol! None of this is a game changer though as we'd still return and recommend the resort.
We stayed at the Majestic Mirage and everyone was soooo very nice! However, the absolute best part of our trip was our Butler. Mr. Jean Claude! He was an absolute pleasure! He was attentive to all of our needs from the moment we were introduced up until this morning with a message to us asking how our flight home went. Mr. Jean Claude awent out of his way to make sure our 25th anniversary trip was pleasant. We knew exactly what time and location events were each day as he sent us a message each morning. He checked on us throughout the day and evening to see how he may be of assistance. He got us an iron and table when we needed one. He got ice buckets to our room because the ice machine are being replaced. We had a welcome bottle of wine and then another free bottle of premium liquor. We also received a beautifully decorated room and bottle of wine for our anniversary. Mr. Jean Claude also made dinner reservations at the wonderful Hibachi restaurant for our anniversary day. Mr. Jean Claude answered every question we may have had with quick responses. Again Mr. Jean Claude is an absolute pleasure and he goes out of his way to ensure you have a great experience and you are well informed. I recommend you ask for him as your Butler! He is sure to delight and deliver! And I pray you give him raise and we'll deserved vacation 😊😁 Okay now the resort is beautiful! I am not sure why some ppl gave bad reviews. It has so many places to eat and relax. The pools have many Bali beds and loungers available. We learned later into our trip there's an adult pool area more relaxing and plentiful with space. Nevermind that though! Our Private rooftop with jacuzzi was a hit for us! (We also had a balcony) It was absolutely beautiful at night to relax on the rooftop there as the mood was wonderful. Take a bluetooth speaker with you and set your own music mood as we did!

Mainly the staff, from the reception, the lady who welcomed us, then our butler Candio... we love him, he helped us with everything and he was always willing to give more to make us feel comfortable. Then in the restaurants the wonderful staff! especially William the Sommelier from the Argentino restaurant, a Venezuelan boy who was kind enough to search other restaurants for fried plantains for me😊. The ladies of the Italian restaurant, who also did the impossible to make room to get a table and serve us on my birthday ❤️. The guys from the fun staff, who are in charge of entertaining the guests, dancing Zumba, aerobics, etc! These details make your stay great and unforgettable and the Hotel is beautiful!!!

United StatesMy only complaint is that I asked for queen beds in room and got to 2 tiny twin beds for for 6’4 and 6’1 sons. The room was immaculate. Was just hoping for 2 queens instead of a king and 2 super small beds.
It was a very well kept property! It was like paradise , accommodations were perfect and staff was exceptional. Felt comfortable! Food was good and drinks were delicious! French restaurant was super good as well the Italian. Steak house was solid, just slow service! Bartenders were on point!! Made everything to perfection! House special drink was out of this world! Also the strawberry daiquiri was excellent! Victor the butler was super awesome! Heavily recommend him! He was the nicest most caring butler and took care of everything you needed! Hands down the best part of our experience was Victor the butler!
