Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesHibachi Grill left lots to be desired. Sushi app was not good. Hibachi meal was just OK at best, and the waitress butchered all our orders for both drinks and dessert, which also wasn’t good. Also, the premade Paninis at That’s a wrap were just gross.
Breakfast buffet had a good selection and was easy to navigate. All the bartenders were friendly and prompt. Walk around waiters came by often. Most of the restaurants were good. The Bridge and Little Lake with all the waterfowl was pretty amazing and the beach set up was excellent.

CanadaThere are 2 parts in this hotel, the newly constructed part(preferred club) which is far from the hotel core and the beach, and the old part in the middle of the fun that is not as clean as it should be. There are not lots of restaurant options and the food was just OK!
The location was good. The beach was clean and vast.

United StatesHousekeeping was slow and did not do a thorough job of cleaning, changing towels, providing shampoo, kleenex, etc.
Our butler, Lucy was amazing. She was accessible, thoughtful and went out of her way to make sure all our needs were met. Luis at the preferred club pool never let our glass become empty and always was upbeat and personable. Giselle and Stephanie at the spa provided the best massages my wife and I have ever had.

United StatesLack of enough vegetarian options in food, too much of focus on alcoholic beverages and hardly any non alcoholic options, we hardly drank so ended paying a lot for what we got. Asked for extra bag of banana chips and they were not available . Need more English speaking staff as well

Czech RepublicOngoing noise during nights - area infront of Master suite is quite busy over night - hotel workers working overnight. Entry to restaurants should be denied to guests not complying with dress codes. Russian salad in Sea side grill should be renamed...
Beach is amazing. Local people, food, room service...

Czech RepublicAs regular guests (visiting Dreams & Secrets regularly), some disappointments: Preferred guest breakfast at Sea Side Grill could be improved; missed the opportunity for breakfast at Portofino as in our previous stay. We'd appreciate access to the French restaurant in Secrets for Master Suite guests. Rooms are super noisy. Fusion & Oceana have room for improvement - menu/overall look.
We loved our stay! Ideal location, friendly and gracious locals! Our master suite was superb. Impeccable cleanliness, and room service surprised us with delicious breakfast and dinner. Beach is amazing. Jefry at the preferred guests' section made our experience unforgettable. Don't miss the coconut fish at the Sea Side Grill—absolutely amazing. Dinner in Portofino was great. Our butler Martin - very proffesional.

CanadaThe main problem is that rooms on the ground floor are subject to a LOT of noise since the hallways are used by everyone and many people speak very loudly…not just guests but staff too..And since these rooms are upscale..not a great experience. Should put signs to minimize noise especially at night

ChileI don´t have any complaints! Just maybe that additional things such as the spa, tours, etc. are too expensive, but maybe the prices were competitive for the industry in this country, I don´t know.
Most of all the attention and attitude of the staff everywhere! All of them were so friendly, kind and helpful, always smiling for real (not just for show). At the restaurants and bars, the entertainment crew each day, the cleaning lady, all of them! The overall conditions of the hotel were really good, the best I´ve seen in the latest years. We never had to fight for beach recliners, this was really great, no early mornings to try and "reserve" a chair, etc.

Czech RepublicI did not like the food. Too much international, American better to say. Hamburgers and pasta . All with the same taste. Wine was particularly not good and the wine "a la carte" was over priced.
Staff, cleanliness, location, combination of fresh water pools and sea. Amusement programme.

United StatesOnly wish the guests had appreciated the effort of the entertainers and applauded them. For a smaller resort, they put on nice shows and deserve recognition for their talent :( Sometimes tables for 8 were harder to arrange, but the waitstaff always found a way to push two tables together for us.
The staff- outstanding, especially Natali, the Preferred Club butler- professional, friendly, welcoming and hard-working. The resort- gorgeous grounds and pools, beautiful rooms, clean beach. The food- something for everyone and every meal was delicious. The buffet had endless offerings. We especially liked Fusion and the Seaside Grill. Entertainment- for a smaller resort , they went all out, very fun for our little ones, too.

United StatesThe food was very salty but not surprising since that is common for resorts in my experience. Seafood at times felt like it had been previously frozen. Dinner at the sit-down (not buffet) restaurants had an appropriate menu but the service from the kitchen felt a bit slow at times and the order wasn't always right the first time around. We wish we had known about the dress code at two of the restaurants but that is probably standard at all-inclusives and honestly we didn't go because we had small kids. We stayed in a room not far from the event stage. We appreciated it ending at a reasonable time of the night but we wish we had not been as close with young kids. Interestingly they slept through it better than we did!
It was an easy flight from the US to a beautiful beach in the Caribbean. The travel time and logistics were easy relative to other locations. The resort itself was very family-friendly. We are so grateful for the staff who were generous to our children, attentive to their needs, always bringing smiles to the kids, and accommodating to the needs of infants and young kids. The Explorer's club was a pleasant surprise. The staff (Genesis, Nicole, and Candy) got to know our kids and had a list of activities that went beyond just sitting in a room or watching TV all day and gave them some fun, engaging memories (e.g., crafts, recreational games, and moved them throughout the complex to engage with different parts of the resort). The pools' nooks and crannies were many, giving many opportunities to have private coves and spots for relaxation. The kiddie pool was a plus for my infant, and the availability of shared pool toys and floaties (people seemingly left them) was a nice bonus. Beach towels were abundant, and I didn't feel they were docking or watching too carefully. The drinks were well made, though there was some variation in quality between bartenders (not surprising), and were appropriately strong (or could be modified when you wanted them to be). The food options were many, and our family used the buffet most because it was the fastest way to feed three young, hungry kids. The beach was beautiful (soft sand, large space) and cleaned regularly by staff. Reviews had complained about solicitations from tour people, but I thought it was well done an it is a tourist destination. Everyone selling had standard company-issued T-shirts or shirts, so they felt official. I never felt they were scamming me but they were doing their job in a tourist town. Note I was only approached twice in 5 days. The room was standard and reminded me of a hotel more than a resort, but that was fine. Room service and mini-bar in the room were a bonus. Spa was great at a $$.

ChileFood quality could be improved and I would appreciate having more options on the menu. We spent 4 days and we managed to try all the restaurants but for longer stays it could be boring. The menu doesn't change, it is the same per restaurant. The beach was full of seaweed so we only used the pool.
The facilities and pool areas are excellent. There are more animated areas around the pool bar and more quiet areas depending on what you wish. The staff was very kind. They allow pets and they were very friendly with our small dog. We've got a room on the ground floor with access to the pool, it was excellent because we were able to be next to our dog without bothering other clients.

United StatesThe restaurant food was very bland, not much taste except the Fusion Asian restaurant (it was very good). You had to get down to the pool by 6:45am in order to get a lounge chair with shade. The lounge chairs were very limited (maybe 100 available with about 500 rooms at the resort)
The Tide (burger / chicken / nachos) shack was amazing. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The landscaping was beautiful and very well maintained.

BrazilStarting by the preferred club, it's not preferred cause you get exactly what other guest do, beach and poll seats always full, only differential is the restaurant that is exclusive but food has nothing special. The suites that we stayed had a door in between one another so you could hear all the noise from the other suite. We have made some friends in the hotel by the side that share the same bars and club at night but we couldnt stay with they during the morning at the beach or at the pools, that was the worse part of our stay. Also, they pushed us very hard for their vacancy club one entire afternoon, that was very annoying.
The attendants, waiters and employees always friendly and happy!

United StatesThis property is very well kept. Not your grandiose high ceiling marble piller lobby. But it makes it up with the tropical gardens with great winding pools and beach area.. The staff is friendly food is good. Remember it's an international buffet so stick to what you know. Drinks are made perfect. This is a family resort and a great place to take children for a real tropical vacation instead of the big amusement park..
