Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaWhat I did like was the FOOD! VERY SALTY AND ONE WAY! FOOD! second, the outing with their company qas not good. u will be on a bus for almost 3 hours picking people at the other hotels by the time u reach the place. u are very tired! I was with my kids and it's was had for them! We took the trip to SAONA and it was a very bad experience for us! If you have young kids, don't do that! Apart from that the hotel is very clean and beautiful 😍
The place is nice and clean, workers ok!

United StatesWe didn't like the food choices! The buffet food was better than the al a carte, but that was still mediocre compared to other ALL INCLUSIVES we have stayed at in DR. The entertainment for both adults and kids was severely lacking. Thank God for the pools and mini water park, but some ppl (including my son) got sick from the chlorine or something within the pool. We HATED having to make a reservation on the app for the al a carte restaurants! It's an all inclusive no one should be turned away from any restaurant because they couldn't get a reservation. Also the alcohol was nothing we recognized and there wasn't any top shelf options. Even the platinum guest were complaining.
We loved the resort itself. It's situated on a nature reserve, and my son (2yo) loved seeing all the animals on the property! The rooms were very spacious and clean! The beds were extremely comfortable.

The medical clinic is there just to get your money. $200 regular consultation they don’t give u a prescription or medicines. they ask u to go to the hospital where they’ll charge u another $500 for consultation then they give u prescription. room service horrible literally you have to fight to get a towel. Food at Restaurant or buffet are not the best.

United StatesThe food was absolutely terrible. I wouldn't come back for this reason. We had to eat in the main buffet for almost every meal because the restaurants were fully booked for our first 2 nights. Our last night we finally got in to the Italian restaurant, Il Tartufo, and it was even worse than the buffet.
The cleanliness and setup of the room were amazing, and the kids had a blast in the pool area. The grounds were beautiful and there were good activities like a Superbowl party and kids arts and crafts. The spa was also very nice.

There are different restaurants in the hotel and you can book to experience different world cuisines! there is NO additional cost! I cannot finish by writing how good they are, It was our first trip to Punta Cana but not the last we know it! Thank you Princess Bavaro family to make dreams come true!

United KingdomWe stayed at the resort for 14 nights in total. 10 nights at the main resort area and 4 at the family club. The room on the main resort was close to the beach but had a horrible musty smell that didn’t go away even though we ventilated the room. There were flies visible on some of the foods such as pastries, salads, deserts and fruit. The are some food trucks on the beach, the concept is cool but the staff has no sinks to wash up etc, I don’t think this helps. We were a party of 13 and more than half of us got infected with salmonella and my son spent 3 days at the hospital as he was infected with amoebas. The food was generally terrible even at the a la carte restaurants, where we ate most nights. The main swimming pool is quite shallow and has a swim up bar they also have foam parties there so the water is cloudy and looks dirty. No entertainment other than band at courtyard. The room at family club was not very clean we even found cycling shorts from previous guests on top bunk bed. The type of guests also not what we are used to, we witness many altercations including a physical fight at the pool over sunbeds and generally the guests were just rude and not very mindful of others. I would not recommend this hotel. Please see reviews on trip advisor there are many stories of guests being ill from food served at the hotel. The manager does not take any feedback as constructive and simply says it’s the guests fault, the resort does look nice but if you are a foodie don’t go there. We were so happy to get back home and no worry about getting sick from the food we were eating. Please ensure you have a good insurance too as my son’s hospital stay was usd 3,500 luckily we were able to get on our original flight back. We spent a lot of money for our holiday as we live in England and it was not worth it. Please do enough research before you book a resort might be better on the Caribbean side, this resort is on the Atlantic.
The beach was ok, there was a lot of algae and the staff tried to clean but they don’t seem to have the right equipment to do this efficiently. The deco at the restaurants was nice too.

United StatesThe price was way to high. The hotel seemed to nickel and dime you for every service. We couldn’t make reservations at the restaurants, the privilege was only for VIP customers. Instead we eat at the buffet. Everyone expected a tip and gave us an attitude if we didn’t leave one.
The room was a good size for 5 people, however it would have been nice if their was some way to have privacy between the kids bed and parents beds. The bathroom was tiny and awkward. Bugs kept flying out of the sink.

Sint MaartenLet’s begin with the building they reserved for families with kids must all be fitted in a U shaped building at the entrance of the resort not ok!the slides in the pool advertised are for no older then 6 years old the pool is very shallow and all exits close to the pool wall that’s how tight it is …I was expecting better from the food…long waits for the seatings for some and the Teppanyaki restaurant inaccessible unless you camp from 6pm or if you are at the liking to the receptionist on site not professional! Pools area not lively enough see for yourself !
The bonus of this property is the magnificent garden it is seating on It is beautiful and green like a natural reserve the peacocks adorable the beach was nice and clean some of the staff were nice and helpful…

United StatesRooms had limited or no accessible electrical outlets. The bathrooms had no where to place personal garment or used towels. The HVAC was very difficult to operate. Limited areas to store clothes for family of 2 nevertheless 4 members. No consistency on alcohol drinks. They were either tooo strong or very weak. The food at each restaurant was below average including the buffets. Room service was included in the booking description, but when arrived was an extra charge. Was disturbed for 3 days in regards to resort trying to sell me something such as a timeshare. Had issue with Covid testing station as well due to forms weren't sent out us as described and called to clarify and was directed to go back to testing station to rectify.
Check-in process was easy going and stress less. The room layout was perfect for our family. The grounds, pool and beach were well maintained. The majority of the staff throughout the resort were excellent.
