Bar Smells bad, bar staff was kinda rude, drinks were of poor quality (cheap liquor and over sugary mixers) Rooms need some love, specially the electrical and power outlets, they were damaged and didn’t charge our devices.

Room could have been cleaner, bed a little uncomfortable, sleeping was hard as our room was in the first floor and we could hear people partying all night long.

Some of the Guests in the main buffet should have had more clothing on.

Mangu was our favorite. It was the right size buffet and we could sit outside.The service was quick and friendly,the mimosas plentiful.

The showers aren’t fully blocked off, so water would get everywhere. Bed was very uncomfortable.

The sheets and towels where awful and didn’t meet my expectations

We did get sick for one day which was unfortunate but at least that was all. We ate at the steakhouse where my partner ate pork & chicken then we drank at the outside bar by the stage. The pineapple drink did taste a little off but we didn’t think much of it. That night my partner woke up vomiting from both ends for hours. I got sick too but not as bad. I have to say if you plan on traveling out of country, be sure to be very picky about your food. And also, it doesn’t hurt to bring some meds in case your stomach acts up. Imodium saved us!

We were greeted & checked in quickly. She even upgraded our room which was very nice of her to do so that started our trip out nicely. It is a beautiful property. Very spacious with lots of greenery & I loved how big the pools were. The water temperature was so warm like bath water! The beach was nice & the water was also warm with lots of lounge chairs. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the staff was. They were all friendly & seemed happy to help wherever we were at the property. We had ants in our room & to my surprise, the property handled them very quickly! We did bring tip money even though it’s all inclusive. I would encourage those visiting to tip because the employees are hard working. A few dollars here & there go a long way.

My only problem with Riu Republica was the room. The bathroom was old and needed some refection. The shower head even had rust on. The towels needed replacement, they were old and they lost their white color.

If you plan a fun vacation this is the place to be. We went as a group this month of April. The staff was great. The resort has so many activities that there is no way to get bored. I love the White and Pink party. The place has a big stage where a lot of different shows take place every afternoon up to 1130pm. They have a wide variety of food well made, so we enjoy every bit from breakfast to dinner. Food is always available, between the 3 meals, you can always have a snack in one of the snack stations or a barbecue by the beach. I felt like drink was at every corner. There is a lot to say about this place, I really enjoyed this vacation.

Only issue was my door key was not work properly the hotel is not a 5 star hotel I'll grade 4 but a very good 4 clean personal very attentive it's mostly a younger people but we senior fit right in the beach should be a little more organized and vendor shouldn't be so pushing they make you feel very uncomfortable but otherwise I we love it

The food was not the best, wish it was better, but that is what we expected. I am not sure if the food was representative of the food in Punta Cana or just that resort.The pillows are horrible make sleeping hard.

The beach was beautiful, the resort was large, nice and clean. The staff is friendly and very helpful. Some of the staff were exceptional at what they do.

My bathroom had a terrible smell, and it was impossible to get the front desk on the phone to tell them about my issue, luckily I was out most of the time.

I love the staff at Riu Republica Hotel, they were all very friendly and nice.

Only one elevator and looked old so always taking the stairs. The walls of the room are too thin so you can perfectly hear what goes on in the hallway. The food was regular to bad. Aims to have 9 restaurants but only two open for breakfast, snack and lunch, the other only for dinner and the food is regular with really poor options for vegetarians, I always ate at the same buffet because of that. The food option for snack is a shame, nachos and ham and cheese sandwiches. The tv in the room has no sense since it’s not a smart tv and only has 3 local channels.

The facility overall needs updating. A lot of things were worn, especially in the rooms. Get new towels! They're over-washed and worn. I was not impressed by the specialty restaurants. I found that the main buffets had the same food and better quality. The house wines were good, but I didn't care for the champagne; maybe consider offering Prosecco, as it is an economical alternative to good champagne, which is rather expensive.

The main buffet was great. I really liked the selection of food. It was convenient. The staff was SO friendly and helpful. For example, I chose a hamburger and there were several bottles of ketchup, but no mustard or mayonnaise. I asked and within minutes they brought both. Also, whenever we asked for drinks or refills, they came right away. The bar staff was very accommodating, even making suggestions when they were out of specific ingredients. The front desk staff was helpful and friendly. And the guys who stood out front really helped when we were waiting for taxis and shuttles. I liked the proximity of the beach and the convenience of having a shady area so close to the water. I have one suggestion. You should create a hookah lounge in one of your bar spaces. I'm guessing from the demographic of the guests, it would be a real hit. I would have loved it, too. It might be so popular that guests might need to make reservations.

Rooms could be updated. If you put a ticket in/told the front desk about an issue (phone didn’t work, remote didn’t work, AC wasn’t working) there was a big chance it wouldn’t get fixed. But our AC was fixed and we were barely in the room so didn’t need the TV.

Amazing facilities. Pools everywhere. Food was good and lots of choices as a vegetarian. Also had dairy free milk at breakfast. Drinks were good and there was always something going on. Beach was beautiful but suppppper wavy so be careful.

The hotel seems to be older and some areas need some love. The room was nice but very limited outlets for charging phones. Pillows need to be replaced.
