As they do in several hotels, gave me a crappy room upon arrival and upgraded me twice until I landed in a beautiful room. Also they keep trying to offer you to move to a room in a private and exclusive area of the resort at a much higher price, but I stood my ground and insisted on a good standard room for the price I already paid. It took about 3 days out of a 15-day stay so it was worth my time and the hassle of haggling with the concierge.

The grounds and layout of the resort, best value on Playa Dorada. The food is seriously wonderful. The staff is attentive and polite. It feels like a vacation !

The Unlimited vacation club meeting was a very bad experience lasted almost three hours that was supposed to be 90 min. and didn't want to let us go had to sign a bunch of paper.

Wi-Fi only in lobby - awful! Food caused a stomach pain on day 2, but in might have been just we are not used to local menu. But veggies were tasteless, so were ham, cheeses, etc.

The shows needs some improvements, also we did not like the club, the floors are wood and is very uneven we were close to fall every time we try to dance is not very invited. The deserts are not good.

We were in the vip area, drinks were excellent, food is great, beach was cleaned drinks server on the beach was excellent, massage on the beach was great.

However, not everything was great! The alcohol quality was very poor almost undrinkable, the whisky, vodka, tequila, and rhum, all tasted like water unless you take branded alcohol(HAD TO GO OUT AND BUY MY OWN DRINK). but really killed my vibe and will be one of the reasons I will not go back to this hotel again because I was not allowed to use my portable personal small speaker I was forced to listen to the boring music they had. That is a huge thumbs-down. also wanted to smoke a cigar with my friends, we were not allowed to smoke on our balcony and the table they placed for smokers had only 2 chairs and we were 6 there was no space for a large group of friends to share quality time and a cigar, what I find weird was that they sell you the cigars but no place to enjoy the good Dominican cigar. and I don't know if it is to cut on cost but the hotel does put a bracelet on their paid guest(like all the other resorts are doing for security to prevent intruders) anyone can walk from the beach and have access to the Resort because you have nothing on you that identifies you as a guest in the Resort.

The staff members were awesome. The rooms were clean. The pool was ok. but the staff is the only reason I had a great time (PS Jonathan from the reception front desk was awesome he is a great professional) aaah and the FOOD was amazing, Celebrated my mom's birthday in the Argentinian restaurant we had a great time and share a 1lb cake we ordered from customer service I was inexpensive just $30 for the cake. they put a Happy birth door decoration to her door plus a bottle of local rhum(great touch) if I have to qualify the Staff it's hands downs 100 out of 10 :) they were amazing. PS the Italian restaurant food was great. I am such a foodie person lol

The staffs, many of them, not all; have preference for some people. We were in the restaurant and they didn’t pay attention to us, maybe because we were Dominican and have two children. We were waiting a lot to get water in the table while others next to us, who were last than us, get attention first, and others. They were impatient with one of my boy.
