I Really liked this resort, it was more than expected compared to others in the area. The staff was very good, especially Umberto at restaurant in the sunclub area. The staff at the beach also. The food was delicious and the drinks really good as well. The only thing I didnt enjoy was my drunk neighbors show after 12am for 3 days. Overall I would come back.

The rooms were very run down not like the pictures. The bathroom tub was so dirty and clogged even after unclogging.

The beach, aggressive sellers on both beach and inside the hotel, buffet was boring and WiFi very bad not able to make calls. Sun club menu was good bud boring. The voucher for $200 was set up so that you still had to spend a lot of money. The main pool were closed for a whole week while we stayed there. Restaurants were closed even though they showed up as open in the Hyatt app that they tell you to download. We waited twice for dessert in Gohan but it never arrived. Coco cafe didn’t have frappe any of the days we went there. We ordered room service twice that didn’t arrive (sun club adults only area)

Everything! Rooms weren’t bright, lights were very dim. We had issues with the bathroom from toilets clogging, showers not draining and shower heads loose and falling off. On top of the issues with the room, they won’t let you into the pool until 10am and they close it at 6pm. We went with our kids which all they want to do is be in the pool. Also, if your at the pool food is very limited. If you’re in bathing suit and throw a cover on for females, they won’t let you into the restaurants. Only option you have is pizza which isn’t good. For men, if you have a tank top on they also won’t let you into the restaurants. You’re at a beach resort and can’t go anywhere in the resort in beach attire. For drinks, they have the bottom of the barrel for alcohol. No known brands at all. Everything they serve is something you’ve never seen which prob just gets refilled in the back. Also, the paint in the room is pealing of the walls and even in the pool. You’ll be swimming/walking around in the pool and you’ll see and feel the paint pealing. We originally booked to stay at this resort for the week, we canceled and left somewhere else after 2 days. And if you have any issues, the staff only works from 10-5 and finding them to help you figure things out is another issue. No one is in charge or they’re off that day. I would highly not recommend this location to anyone!

We reserved two rooms, #10203 and #10205. The air conditioning in #10205 stopped working the night before our departure.... we called multiple times that night and after being told that someone would come to fix it, no one came. We had to take our adult children into our room for the night at 2am in the morning because the heat was unbearable.

We had an amazing time at the resort. We have been here in the past and decided to try other resorts, but SUNSCAPE is by far a better resort. MELANIA DOMINGUEZ from housekeeping was great...... so pleasant and at our service every moment that we needed assistance. There was an error in our reservation with Booking.com when checking in and ANDERSON was very helpful in taking care of us and correcting everything.... after a long flight from New York it was refreshing to have him take care of us and assuring us that he would handle everything. Upon check out, we were running late for our flight, JULISSA at the Front Desk quickly sprung into action and provided an expedient check out. I want to mention that SILNIA in the Pool Snack Area always provided service with a smile and never said no to our needs....she should be multiplied by 10 along with a gentleman (unfortunately, I can't remember his name) who does the serving at the Pool Snack Area, who from experience I know had been there for well over 10 years when I started coming here. During our dining experience at the Italian restaurant there was a gentleman, FRANCISCO, wow what a pleasure.... we enjoyed him thoroughly. Overall, KUDOS to whomever does your hiring...... YOUR STAFF IS EXCEPTIONAL...... Sunscape will be our home away from home in Puerto Plata.
