REally nice quiet hotel. Owner is a really nice canadian couple whot take good care of the hotel. Super clean, Bali style is not an exaggeration. Very good breakfeast, freindly and capable stuff. Located about 250 m walk from beach. Close to restaurants. I recommend the Takuma highly.

the only thing that wasn’t great was the massage. the masseuse didn’t even say hello or anything (I do speak some Spanish and French) and it was uncomfortable, transactional and unfriendly. I dont think that she worked for the hotel as I had to pay separately in cash.

beautiful hotel setting. loved that each room had direct pool access. 5 mins walk to seafront beaches along quiet road. lots of restaurants in walking distance. Friendly staff, good breakfast and nice bar for a nightcap.

Everything was lovely! The hotel was a little tricky to find at first because the road you turn onto from the main beach road is a little hidden, but this turned out to be great because you're not right off the noisy, busy street, yet very close to the beautiful beaches.

Breakfast was delicious every day. I tried a few different things. The yogurt was surprisingly great. The coffee had a nice spice in it and there was complimentary fresh fruit and juice with breakfast every morning. Las Terrenas is still figuring out its tourism scene (which makes it wonderful because the beaches are still very untouched and not too busy if you go at the right time), so don't expect the kind of resort-like experience you may get elsewhere, but it was exactly what we were looking for.

the day before departure I arranged at the reception that we would need to leave the hotel around 7:30-8:00, the gentleman at the reception told us that there was no problem, that we should have breakfast at 7:30 and then check out, not only did we miss breakfast, but there was no one at the reception, the lady at the breakfast I paid a fee, she didn't even know exactly how much and she didn't even have a refund, so we didn't even have breakfast that day but we paid extra, unfortunately it ruined our stay

The hotel is beautiful and the staff and owners are friendly and helpful. Excellent generous breakfast with lots of options including the traditional Dominican mangu breakfast. Special call out to Luiz for being great. Thank you for making us feel extra welcome.

Beautiful boutique hotel close to everything Las Terrenas can offer. We loved the construction, decor, pool and garden and the staff was very nice and helpful. A quiet and peaceful oasis only a few hundred meters from Playa Punta Popy and lots of restaurants. Delicious breakfast. We would love to come back!

We stayed 4 nights at Takuma and we really loved it! Beautiful construction, thoughtful decor and garden, awesome pool, quiet and relaxing ambiance... The perfect vacation package! The breakfast was great, the owners and entire staff was nice and welcoming, special kudos to the cleaning staff as they did a great job keeping our room pristine even though there were 4 of us! The location is close to all the restaurants, stores and the beach, which we enjoyed a lot. Bravo 👏

- hot water didn‘t work at first, but the owner was quickly able to fix it - a bit more mosquitos than in other hotels I‘ve been probably bc of the pool and Nature around (mosquitos love me, so I kept doors closed and tried to kill all mosquitos inside the room - then it was okay) - the window in the bathroom has no glass, I think mosquitos can come inside - if it‘s raining, the Streets may be flooded (to keep in mind if you Are traveling with suitcase)

This place is a peaceful and beautiful oasis in the village of las Terrenas!! The location was perfect because was 3min walking from the beach and the main street but far enough to provide a peaceful stay away from the noisy nights of DR. The staff were super kind, both the daily and night receptionists were very attentive, kind and always willing to help. Thank you to Nathalie, the owner, because she gave us wonderful tips about places and beaches to visit. Breakfast was delicious and with several options. The room was big and spacious, with a terrace and direct access to the pool, like it was a private one! Everything was super clean and decorated with a lot of taste to evocate feelings of calmness and relax. And they even provide towels for the beach! We loved our stay! Thank you to all the staff!

Room is comfy, the pool is right at your balcony, good for the price. The breakfast is yummy, a peaceful place if you have a bigger agenda and need a simple and chic place to stay. The staff is also genuinely friendly.

There is not a gym to do a little workout. That was a little disappointing. We did swim and did workouts in our room and walked around the city but it would have been a nice to have. Also it would have been nice to have lunch and/or dinner options at Tukuma as well— maybe light meals—-so you’re not having to go out every day. Also to have an extra towel set in the room for each person occupying the room.

Very clean. Excellent breakfast everyday. Throughout the day you could order drinks or smoothies. It is very close to many excellent restaurants. The staff, Louis-specifically, was very helpful in coordinating a taxi driver to take us different places in the city. It is also a very peaceful and tranquil place. Loved the massages and the price. The therapist are both very skilled. Housekeeping changes your sheets every day and clean your rooms daily. They pay attention to when you leave your room and come in right away and clean up. Loved that you could rent a. ATV to get around!

Bathroom was clean and simple, but a bit dark, better lighting would help

beautiful place to stay, love walking out of my room into the pool/river that goes past the room. Enjoyed just sitting with my feet in the water and reading. Breakfast was tasty and good size. Small and cosy place only 4 other rooms so quite intimate. Nice staff, friendly and helpful.

we loved the property and the central location to everything , walkable to beach and restaurants but also tucked away so that it’s nice and quiet -away from the noise and hustle bustle. Such a cute little boutique hotel, great staff, they include a lovely freshly cooked breakfast everyday! comfortable beds, complimentary Netflix and pool access right outside your balcony :)
