Shower facilities needed repair but it was done quickly. Small repairs required on electrical outlet covers.

Breakfast was good with variety. Could provide more bread. Lovely view from restaurant. Staff were lovely, speaking some English. Security was good. Water provided.

People (6 or 8) came in off the street to watch a ruggby match on the large bar TV turning up the restraunt/bar music system to very high levels to listen to the match. They ordered very few drinks. That was unacceptable.

The location is great! Right on the beach the staff at the restaurant are amazing and very friendly!! The room size wise was well. The small fridge worked. The bathroom was spacious. that the room is great for the Value.

The room doesn't have a window (only a tiny one in the bathroom overlooking the ugly roofs around) and for nearly USD 60 is poor. Moreover, the car park is not really a car park, it's an interior courtyard just enough for one car and if you have a rented car, you'll be worried someone might scratch it when carrying sharp objects around it. Also the main street outside turns night time into pleasure street with loads of prostitutes, etc

The location is bang on the beach, the room was surprisingly fresh and well decorated compared to the shabby looks of the rest of the property. Also the staff is friendly

I agree people smoke in the restaurant area. However, it's an open area (right outside).

It's a nice little hotel if you keep in mind the price. Extremely relaxing, beach right in front, great service, and clean. Looking forward to coming back!

The price is a bit steep for this basic hotel in my view. And Boca Chica is not what it used to be, it is really run down...

The Boat House must be the best place to stay in Boca Chica. It is right on the beach, with a nice open restaurant and bar where you can chill all day and night. The room I had was good, basic but very comfortable, including the bed and the shower.

Facilities are quite old and Boca Chica does not seem to be the safest place in Dominican Republic, but we enjoyed it for a short stay right at the beach.

Wonderful location (right at the beach front), very friendly staff (helped us with our travel arrangements and walked with us to the bus stop), great food (anything we tried was gorgeous).

Well, I did not complain about it. So it is not really a complain, but the AC could be a little improved I think, it does not cool so much as it could I think. Just as a tip.

Yeah, I finally got lucky! When I arrived the owner of the complex gave me an upgrade to "the penthouse". Awesome. It does not happen to me a lot, so happy to have experienced that here in this stay. To summarize : +Place directly connected to the beach. +++Great views all day long ! ++Good food. I think best food of the street. Try the vegetable soup very good (little spicy). ++++Cold beers +++++Good place to work remotely from (I can recommend this place for digital nomads) they have a large terrace with fast WiFi and power plugs outside. ++++It is secure. The place is gated and has a guard. +++They also have (long term) apartment rental connected to the bar and restaurant which makes it excellent! +Good music. ++English/Dutch/Spanish spoken. (maybe even more languages, but these I know for sure) +Everything you need is around, a small grocery store, a pharmacy, bars, bus stops, a bank, all is there. Just a larger supermarket is 4 blocks away. ++If you need a reliable driver (from the airport) ask the boat house for Paco. He is very reliable and drove me around and to and from the airport. Very reliable and safe. Speaks also English. +Just 10 meters outside the boat house the bar street begins, so you are very centrally located. Every night at 7pm the street transforms in a bar street with tables etc. If I am going to do more remote work, I for sure will stay here for a while. Safe, reliable, good food, fast WiFi. Apartment is cleaned daily.

The street view wasn't a good view. The bathroom was cramped due to the bidet. The refrigerator was small.

The breakfast choices were good. The hotel location was on the beach ⛱️ and a block from the pedestrian area nightlife. Dinner menu select was excellent and they had a daily lunch special. The owner, Lawrence, was personable.

We arrived only 20 minutes before the kitchen stopped serving dinner, so we had to hurry up and get our stuff in our rooms and hustle down to the bar area. My daughters did not feel comfortable in the room they were supposed to sleep in, so we had them sleep in the room next to the bar, where there were more people around.

The food was very good and the service was great. Location is amazing. The owner is very personable and makes sure all his guests feel welcome and are comfortable.
