This beautiful house is located close to the centre of Puerto Plata (10 minutes walking). It's peaceful and a nice place to stay. The staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and the breakfast is good. Recommend.

The beach as well as the center is within walking distance from the accommodation. The hostess is very helpful and friendly. Her brother Julio offers great tours, such as to the waterfalls, cacao plantation, etc. I can only recommend these. The day with Julio and the accomandation has made us a lot of fun and was fantastic. If you stay in Puerto Plata, then you should definitely book this accommodation and relax there for a few days or explore the area.

- the room itself is very basic, spartan, but you can sit & relax in the other, communal, cosy places in the house and garden

- The house has loads of old charm - Beautiful lush garden with old trees - you feel like in a botanical garden - the lady of the house is very friendly and helpful in a non-intrusive way - Full breakfast in the garden I would definitely return!

We liked everything!

Great location in the center in a tranquile area. The colonial house has a very nice green garden with lots of trees and a small pool. Every morning a fresh and healthy breakfast is served to your table: fresh fruit salad, coffee or tea, natural juice, bread, egg, butter and jam. Extremly friendly and helpful owners and staff! Thanks a lot!

Great place to stay in Puerto Plata. The owner is very nice and helpful. We've asked for breakfast before the breakfast time it it was not a problem. Also it is possible to arrange tours there to Paradise Island and 27 Waterfalls with amazing guy - Julio.

Breakfast should be bigger. Big echo when somebody leave the room at night or speak (noisy). No windows - room 2 in basement

Very calm place. Good location to sightseeing - Old Town ~2km, 27 Waterfalls ~20km. WiFi available in all areas and it is fast. Rooms are small but enough to live - bathroom, wardrobe, bed, table and two chairs is enough for rest after tiring day. Included breakfast are delicious but should be bigger (eggs, fruits, toasts, caffee). Unlimited drinking water and fridge available for all users. Price is unbelievable!

Everything was perfect

The house was lovely and unique, and the setting was peaceful. Francia, the host, was very helpful and kind. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the shower and the beds were great. Finally, the breakfast was delicious and good quantity. I strongly recommend this place!

Is the 1st time visiting Puerto Plata City, I considered these issues: -Hostal nearby to the center of the city for walk and meet the city -Easy and quickly access by Public transportation since Santo Domingo City. You can use Caribe Tours or Metro Tours. -The oppinions about past guest about the: clean, attention and service. I 've loved Hostel Villa Carolina: -Is beatifull and peacefull, you really rest. -The breakfast was delicius. -The are very clean and have excellent covid-19 preventives actions. -The attention of the people and Mrs. Francia, was great!. In addition, She gave me excellent references of places to visit walking, easy and secure routes for newers, secure taxi with good cost. -She sugested us to visit The Sosua Beach, in Sosua. By Caribe Tours is easy to access and only takes 40 minutes, one bus go out each 30 minutes -The imagenes showed in booking.com are real, when you come are more beautifull. For me is the best option when you visit Puerto plata City.
