Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

FranceThe food was not up to standard of the resort. I am aware that it is an all inclusive hotel, however the quality of the food was really below par considering what you pay.
The resort is very relaxing with plenty of beach and pool loungers. Room was spacious and comfortable. The concierge service (Wiris) was particually helpful. Great Cocktails! And if you are looking for a good workout Yuri is your man in the gym.

United StatesSome restaurants were hot, and they tried to clean up the beach as much as they could of the seaweed. There is a lot more in the dominican than expected.
The staff were amazing! We loved the pools and food.

United StatesExtremely disappointed with the hot tub whirlpool in the spa. It was not hot for 3 days in a row! We did tell the spa staff and they said they called someone to repair, but it was not fixed while we were there. Additionally the water in my room was not hot. Since it was rainy for 3 days during my visit, I was really looking forward to being warm either in the whirlpool or my bathtub. I did call the front desk to report the water not being hot in my room, but it was not fixed until my check-out day Saturday. Speaking of rain, too bad there weren’t any rainy day activity opportunities to take advantage of. Would have had a massage or two, but the prices were very very expensive. I would tend to think if the massage services were reasonable, I would have had 2 or 3 during my visit. Another complaint was that very very loud machines woke us up a few mornings at 5:40am!
The food was very good. The best restaurant was the Piragua In my opinion. The choices were different and the service was exceptional without being overbearing.

United KingdomThe pool on our side was dirty. Because of the location, there were a lot of dead insects. There isn't much to do in the resort so you can get bored easily. Only the lobby bar is open in the evening. They keep changing the menus in the different restaurants so it was confusing. There were horses on the beach that were pooing on the beach. We saw the poo wash into the sea where people were swimming. That was so gross. We ordered drinks at the restaurant which took ages to arrive because they had to go to the main lobby bar to get them. At one point my food arrived and the portion was SO small. It ruined my night as i was still hungry. There was only one high chair which was ridiculous because there was another family always using it and we had to wait around until they finished eating. Overall I didnt think it was great value for money. We stayed at Lopesan for the first few days which was cheaper and had better facilities and more to do. I think they are overpriced.
The staff were friendly and attentive. The drinks and food were good (but not amazing)

United KingdomService though smily wasn’t great - not a slick run Hotel. Had to ask 3 times to get a kettle in the room, several wrong food orders. Wood a bit rickety in places (ask for a low room if you are less steady on your feet as stairs not smooth) The area is not particularly charming. At the end of a big run of hotels. Areas further from Punta Cana more authentic and beautiful
Lovely beach side restaurant for breakfast Staff very smily Lovely beach that is well maintained Drinks including fresh coconut juice at the beach Fun painting activity

United StatesThe food and bar services are awful. I recommend that the service staff, chefs and bartenders go to school so that they are taught what the expectations of a normal client are and what the drinks should taste like. It is not normal in an all inclusive place this expensive to wait 30 minutes or more to be served at breakfast or lunch. Some of the food was inedible (frozen waffles, croque monsieur, brown scrambled eggs, uncooked crunchy plantains, toast without butter or jam etc, juices that tasted like they were made with powder) but some dinners were just fine. There is nothing at the bars to offset the alcohol eg peanuts, chips even if you asked. The bartender just shrugged his shoulders. Some of the house wines were undrinkable. Upgrading to a 10 dollar bottle of wine costs $100 or more!! We were told that we would get a bottle of champagne and fruit plate sent to our room every day which only happened on the day of our arrival.
This resort is undergoing changes. The property has been bought by Hyatt so I assume that it will improve so that services including bars, restaurants, gym and maid services will become more uniform and improved. Our room was nice and the patio with the day bed was lovely. The grounds were well manicured and well maintained as were the beach areas and pools. There were plenty of towels. Drink service on the beach was good with good visibility of the staff.

Dominican RepublicThe negatives of the resort will be that there are not enough beach chairs around the main pool with the bar - only 3 spots thats not enough. When we arrived no one was ready to welcome us (they made us feel so unwelcome and we arrived at 2pm). That was really bad not a good first impression for our first time.
What a beautiful resort. Most beautiful gardens and the rooms are amazing. We stayed for the weekend in the Romantic Junior Suite Agua Swim up King and the rooms are big. It was my 50th bday celebration and everyone went out of there way to make me feel special. Thank you for Mercedes organising our welcome bday champagne and fruit in the room. Thank you to Dio who attended to all our request and organising more champagne, cake, fruit and special note for our first night and a BIG THANK YOU for our Romantic Dinner on Saturday, that ended up at our room due to rain - this was very special and intimate. Special thank you to Eiromy for showing us around, making time to check up on us, congrats me on my bday the following day and organising everything for us. Thank you to Alex at the pool bar for the drinks on our first day unfortunately we did not see you the rest of the weekend due to the rain. The food was delicious and the staff very friendly. I would recommend the Romantic Dinner for two - the food are amazing and well presented. Highly recommend to use the Spa facilities. The staff are very friendly, helpful and professional.

Sweden- Check-in process was extremely ‘paper-intense’! I can’t understand why you should have to put your signature three times on the same paper… A pre check-in online maybe? - The gym. At a resort committed to health and wellbeing, you expect more! The few pieces of equipment was rusty and worn. And why not a small beach-gym? - The ‘VIP-guest services’… The day after check-in we received a message from the person at the VIP-guest services, that he wanted to hand over some resort vouchers. It all turned out to be the start of their effort to sell you a membership to their booking-service, I learned after sacrificing 1,5 h for a lunch that were supposed to be information about their resorts (and the benefit of a 200 USD spa-voucher), but was a rather intense sales meeting. Very annoying, and after 1,5 h I left (without spa-voucher!) and returned to the beach.
Many five star hotel/resorts claim to provide you with a personal concierge or butler. This was the first place we’ve stayed at where you actually felt you had! The same person who checked us in, was available during our entire stay and made sure we had a great stay (big thanks to Alejandro!). One of the reasons why we selected this resort, was the small scale (only 96 rooms) and it’s secluded location, with no other resorts or hotels as direct neighbours. We really appreciated the private and calm atmosphere. Food was excellent with all inclusive measures, and very good on a general scale. No need to book tables; you just showed up at the restaurant you wanted and it was never crowded. Room service quick and good, we had breakfast on our balcony during our entire stay. The beach is very clean and well kept, and you have plenty of space for your self. And for other gay couples, no need to worry! The staff here welcomes everyone in a good way, and make sure you feel comfortable.

United StatesThe seaweed out in the front, they overcharged for everything, they charge $30 just for mosquito spray which is super outrageous. Some of the main staff wasn’t as welcoming. It’s just kind of like they needed a job. They didn’t have like a pleasant personality I don’t like the fact that they try to tell me what to wear, of course kids are there so. Personally, I only stayed for one day and I wish I didn’t even stay there. I stayed at another resort after and I fell in love with that one and it was $400 cheaper
I think overall it was a decent experience. I think it was overpriced, especially for it to be on discount. I think it was still overpriced. I guess if it’s raining the farther you go up north, the more that it actually rains. They overcharge you for Taxi, so make sure you book in advance a taxi. And they try to overtax me leaving and then try to take the long way so they could over tax me.

United StatesService was extremely uneven and in some instances, completely bizarre. An attendant at the beach grabbed my foot completely out of nowhere while walking by me. One evening, I heard voices outside the room (on the second story of a standalone building with just two rooms, meaning that you would have no reason to be outside our room unless you were trying to access the room) and several staff members were standing around chatting. Housekeeping left the door open while cleaning, allowing mosquitoes in, despite language advising guests to protect themselves from mosquitoes by taking care to close the doors. Requests and orders were forgotten. Breakfast is pretty good, but the rest of it is at the level of airplane food. To top it all off, I got food poisoning toward the end of our stay, and was ill for five days.
Facilities were generally well-maintained and clean and some of the staff, particularly at the restaurants, were helpful and kind.

PeruThe Manager, Diana Kynast, turned awfully AGGRESSIVE to me, after our initial review!! She even questioned MY professionally, as it mattered at all, as a customer... Yes, I was upset in my review, but she took the complaints personally, never acknowledging ALL the flaws and unpleasantries we encountered during our stay. She dared telling me I was complaining to BLACK MAIL them, in order to get money compensation... (we would actually like them to use the money we spent to feed the emaciated horses they proudly offer as "entertainment..."). Very sad, coming from the representative of a supposedly LUXURY 5 stars resort... 1.- The luxury suite we booked was very noisy, because there was loud music in the property next door. The Manager said it was beyond their control, since it was not part of the resort... 2.-The air conditioning never worked properly, they were not able to fix it in the 6 days of our stay... 3.- There were constant noisy reparations to some kind of pit (for barbecue, I guess...) in the center of the beach, shorefront. Amongst other reparations... 4.- There was no illumination for the dinner barbecue on the beach! The hosts had to use cellphones lights to be able to eat... While staff members were climbing trees to improvise some kind of solution. 5.- We ordered room service breakfast every day. Jars and glasses were chipped, cutlery was always incomplete (coffee spoons, a knife, a fork...). 6.- The mini-bar was never fully restocked, as well as the coffee supplies. 7.- The canopy in the balcony remained undone for the last 3 days of our vacation. One of the worst things were the EMACIATED HORSES the Zöetry proudly offered as "Entertainment"... A very SAD everyday view across the beach shore... Each and every comment I provide is documented with photographs (as soon as we started noticing these faults, we decided to register them for our feedback).
Location was beautiful, staff were very eager to please their hosts, room was perfect when we arrived.

CyprusDoes not feel like a 5-star resort. Overpriced. Wanted to charge us about 250$ extra on checkout. Remember what you order very well not to get fooled. VIP services. They give you some 20-40$ discounts but waste your hour or two selling you "unlimited vacation" service. Don't be tricked by their "200 or 400$ free" thing, don't let them waste your precious vacation time. Just tell you're not interested. It's free only if you don't value your own time. Staff. Felt unprofessional for such a level of the resort. Random jokes, forgetting to bring things, sometimes very slow, tips are very expected from you. Food. Food quality wasn't always good. Tastes just okay, nothing special. Piragua was the best restaurant there though. Bar. Inconsistent, very inconsistent. Every time you order a drink it will come with a little different taste or look than before. Felt like there was only one professional baristo and others just doing it for the first time. You are not going to get very clean beaches compared to Maldives for similar price resorts. WiFi. Was terrible at room and at the beach. The complimentray helicopter was cancelled. We got a free helicopter transfer from the airport to the resort due to special promotions. We confirmed it 2.5 months ahead to make sure we would get it. A day before I had to email them just to get a response that sorry no flight stating that there was a technical issue. Upon check-in, they now had another excuse - that it was fully booked now. Anyway, they suggested getting a helicopter transfer upon check out, which was okay to us, but not as special as the arrival transfer of course would be. It was too windy on the last days of our trip with rains so we decided to cancel the helicopter for safety reasons. So we asked for a taxi instead and they still wanted us to pay for it, even though a helicopter transfer would be much more pricey.
The surroundings are amazing. Rustic style fits the place very well. The grass is really green, there are a lot of trees and beautiful bushes. Loved the interiors and exteriors. 24h/day room service is a great feature. The menu for it is quite big, also the food in restaurants is changing so you don't need to eat the same thing. There are 4 restaurants there, 3 of them are for dinner and one for breakfast/lunch. We enjoyed the Piragua restaurant the most. Every day at 1 pm you get outdoor barbeque with tacos, burgers, and so on. Every evening some cool event. Like a guitarist or even a circus! Got us some free presents from the city. Some staff people are great - very professional and their smile feels real.

United StatesThe one thing we didn’t love was trying to be sold the unlimited vacation membership. We thought we were arranging our beach dinner but we started getting a sales pitch. Luckily they were not defensive and stopped when we said we weren’t interested.
The entire property leaves you breathless. It is beautiful and very peaceful. If you’re looking for rest, relaxation, comfort and fun - mission completed at Zoetry. The service and friendliness of the staff was outstanding. My husband both really enjoyed our stay and couldn’t recommend it enough. To me this feels like an adult experience then kids place (unless teens).
