Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

AustraliaThe airport shuttle was out of service, they organised the equilivant of a local UBER to the airport for far less that the normal taxi fee from the Mercure which is basically the same distance which for Westerners is 1000 dinar, the local UBER was less than 400 dinar and very efficient.
The staff at this hotel are actually alive and they are very helpfull from the time you arrive until you leave, I say alive because I have stayed at many of the chain hotels close to the airport and some have very poor staff performance so may first stay at the M Suite I rate high due to the great staff performance and helpfullness. The room was fine and quiet which if you stay over the highway on Rte de Dar El Beida were a lot of the other airport hotels are located there is significantly more traffic noise if you get a room at the front of the hotels. There are plenty of basic restaurants and bakeries a few hundred meters up the road and if you do want to go to the Bad Ezzouar Shopping centre behind the Mercure hotel it 300DZD by taxi.

AlgeriaThe restaurant was a huge let down! We chose this hotel because of the restaurant and the head chef and his experience with Mexican cuisine but the food was awful! There were barely any Mexican items on the menu. We ordered chicken Caesar salad, fish burger, chicken quesadilla, kofta burrito, no bake cheesecake and white fondant. The free Bread and olives were the best part of the meal. The chicken had a weird texture maybe canned or frozen. Caesar salad had maybe it was mustard dressing? The fish burger was crumbly but my son ate most of it. white fondant was delicious. Husband loved the kofta burrito. In all fairness, the head chef wasn’t there. Not sure just really strange. It was not so expensive as all of this was about $60 usd
