Took a while before water got hot, but it did get hot. Our first room was on the street side and it was noisy. They moved our room without difficulty and it was much much quieter.

The hotel is amazing. We absolutely loved it, it was the best place to stay and unwind. The rooms are large, luxurious and clean and beautifully decorated. The showers were really good and bathrooms were large and clean. The beds were really comfy. The breakfast was really good. The location and proximity to all the sites was really good.

Very nice new hotel located right in the old town. The breakfast leaves nothing to be desired. There are fruits, egg dishes, fresh juice, various breads and more. The staff is super friendly. Thr rooms are spaceous, modern and very clean.

There’s not anything I didn’t like but I would make two suggestions. First, the trash can in my bathroom was tiny. Given that, it would be nice to have one by the desk as well. One empty water bottle pretty well filled up the one I had. Second, I asked about an airport shuttle since I was arriving extremely late. The owner (whom I never met) emailed me back and told me someone would meet me and take me to the Adamas free of charge. That’s not the case. They called a taxi to meet me and charged me $30. The same occurred when I left. I don’t mind that since it seems the standard for getting to and from the Quito airport but it would have been nice to be told prior to my arrival.

I did not react well to Quito’s altitude but the staff were extremely thoughtful and went out of their way to help. There are only 3 employees and all were excellent, very professional. Nexi’s breakfasts were exceptional, large and with a nice mix of the familiar and the traditional. Paola was always ready to meet and go beyond any request I made. Diego was a font of information about anything Ecuadorian. I took a lot of his time, I’ll admit. The property is unusual, small with eclectic furnishings. It works, though. It’s attractive, extremely clean and has many special touches - flowers, huge pillows, extra plush towels and robes, etc. The WiFi is free and dependable. I highly recommend the Adamas.

The hotel is situated on streets which have an incline. If you don't or can't walk up slight inclines, it would be best to use a taxi, which usually runs $2-3 within the city.

Breakfast was amazing - fresh juice, selection of breads with cheese and ham, scrambled eggs, coffee or tea, selection of cereals, and always a lovely Ecuadorian treat on the side. The roof top with lovely views of the city provides a nice respite from traffic and noise of the city. Hotel was quick to answer questions, and help arrange for taxis. Arranged for Covid test -one time the technician came to the hotel, the second time, we went to the facility because of some "glitch". When one of us suffered extreme altitude sickness arranged a doctor to come to the hotel promptly and the staff were amazing and very helpful.

This is a simple but lovely boutique-style guesthouse/hotel located in a colonial building directly in the center of historic Quito. Rooms are spacious and thoughtfully decorated with new quality linens. There are nice extras such as a coffee/tea machine, hair dryer, and blankets. The bathroom had a rain-style showerhead with plentiful hot water. The cleanliness was outstanding! Service was professional and prompt. The receptionist went out of his way to ensure I had everything I needed. For example, he called a restaurant to confirm it was still open and made a reservation for me. Also I left before breakfast hours and was given a "to-go" package that included pain chocolade, another pastry, cheese, ham, fruit, and juice.

Paul and the two ladies who work at Adamas made our stay unforgettable. So kind, so helpful, really impeccable service. It was as if we had a Ecuadorian friend at hand at all times. Paul helped me with restaurant reservations/recommendations, topping up my SIM card, and so many other little things. I appreciated the fresh flowers, drinking water and coffee in our room every day. Our room had a king size bed upstairs and downstairs a sitting room and bathroom (a safe and fridge too). Felt big, luxurious and so nicely decorated. Other features I loved in the room: the rain shower head, the natural sunlight and the small terrace. The breakfast - WOW - juice, fruit, bread, pastries, meat, cheese, eggs made your way, granola, yogurt, and each morning a taste of a local delicacy. There is a fantastic rooftop patio where you can purchase drinks but you can also bring your bottle of wine and take out food to enjoy there as we did. You can see the basilica in one direction and the Virgin in the other. I could go on and on! Needless to say I would stay there again and you should too!

Our room was on the bottom floor and the only window, by the bed, faced an enclosed courtyard. The room was satisfactory for an overnight stay I would have found the lack of outside facing window claustrophobic if I had to stay longer. The lighting at night was not very good, as the bedside lights hanging from the ceiling lit the whole room too brightly. The bathroom fan was very noisy and the light would not go on without the fan. The towels were rather small. We checked in in the evening and check in felt rushed and not that welcoming after our long taxi ride from the airport.

The breakfast was fine. Eggs were cooked as required and food delivered to the table. Not a vast choice. Staff were nice at breakfast and room was pleasant.
