Although there were a couple of chairs in the atrium, they weren't really for relaxing which meant staying in my room was the only option in the evening. I feel that perhaps the staff might have been a little more friendly. although they were perfectly polite and helpful.

The hotel was in a lovely old building, with a central atrium and lots of characterful touches. There weren't many people staying when I visited and it had a slight out of season feel, although I was made to feel very welcome as a solo traveller and the two rooms I stayed in were very comfortable ( I returned after my Galapagos trip). The breakfasts and evening meals were delicious, with the opportunity to order some local dishes if wanted. The metro stop nearby is great for getting into the old town and felt very safe.

Wifi was a bit sketchy on top floor, maybe better on other floors. It was getting down to 10 degrees C at night and no heat in the room so it was a bit cool but tolerable.

Excellent location, nice area to walk around. Lovely Colonial style building, very good staff, very clean room with a comfortable bed. Decent breakfast and other meals in restaurant. Would recommend for a stay.

The location is off a busy road and at first we were a bit disappointed. However once inside, the hotel was charming. Our room , the breakfast room and garden were lovely !!

Staff were very helpful - first room was off the lobby and dark so they arranged another brighter one upstairs which we got later in the day but it was great. Breakfast was wonderful and the place had a lovely charm.

It is not exactly in the Quito's historic center. But it is located very close to the Basilica, and it is within easy walking distance from there

Hotel Casona 1914 is an updated old historical building. As such it has the old world charm and modern day comfort.

A beautiful house in the centre of Quito, a special and unique place to stay. The staff were fantastic and organised laundry and transfers to the airport for me. Dinner was available on site and was lovely. Would highly recommend staying here!

Restaurant closes 4 pm. Plus you need reservations or they might not be open. Luxury rooms in front experience a LOT of street noise as bus station is very close by. Lots of noise!

This is an exceptional property with a very warm and responsive staff and wonderful food. The property is a short walk from Old Town Quito, with its beautiful architecture and many dining and shopping options. I hope to return next year!

Liked the fact that all rooms were off an atrium in the middle of the building. What I didn’t like (and was why I didn’t give the building the highest rating is that it can be noisy either guests coming and going.

A littly noisy from the street but only after about 8am. Well that is not avoidable at such a location. So it was fine to me.

Absolutely outstanding. Arrived at 3am and was super tired. The owner quickly gave me the room and told me to pay the next day after i rested. Late Checkout was free. The rooms are super nice and clean with all you can ask for. The hotel is in a nice comonial style. All the people are so friendly. They really care about their guests. The price for that package is just awesome. By the way the hotel is super close to the basilica and is located in the center of quito. Highly recommended.
