Everything was great!

Location was quiet, just outside of town. Just a few minutes walk from downtown or docks. Breakfast was fabulous every morning. The owners were very friendly and helpful when our phones did not work and one of our tours was cancelled. They helped us book with someone else (and we saved a lot of money too for same tour!)

Julia was really nice and kind. It was the best warm welcome in 2,5 months! The bed was really big and comfortable. The location was good. 10 minutes walk from the ferry, but really quite place to sleep well. Also close to the centre of the town, 5 minute walk. I really recommend this place! Julia even came out of bed to give us a sandwich for breakfast when we had to leave at 5am for the ferry.

Don't expect a nice view or a big garden since its quite small. Still there are hammocks if you want to chill.

The hotel is close to the snorkelling spot (playa concha) but still not too far from the centre. July, the host, was very nice and even made us sandwich for our way back to Santa Cruz since the ferry leaves very early.

The room was a bit small, and had no chair or table, although it had a fridge. The entrance to the property is a bit rough, making tripping an issue.

Julie was the person making breakfasts (different every time) and helping us, and she was excellent. She made breakfast early when we needed to leave for tour early, which was helpful. The grounds had a very beautiful area with hammocks.

Drinking water not provided. The hotel is well outside of town and the 15 min walk in oppressive heat carrying gallon bottles of water was not fun. Water is also very expensive when bought in smaller quantities. Charge $1-2 more per night and allow guests to refill their bottles.

Julie was awesome! She was so friendly, cooked wonderful breakfasts, and really made our stay. The hotel was quiet and peaceful. Plenty of hot water.

We had such a lovely stay at Cartago Bay, the hosts were so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious and we even got to try a traditional dish called mote which we loved! What made our stay so special though was how nice the hosts were. The property is really pretty with a lovely garden, the rooms are separate to the main house and they were spotlessly clean. We would definitely recommend Cartago Bay.

Best place to stay on Isabela. This lovely couple will make you feel at home and cared for straight away (like very caring parents). They gave us the best tips about where to eat and who to book tours with. Breakfast on the patio was lovely and the location was great. The room was simple but nice and big and clean, with a fridge and good shower. It was serviced daily. We also had access to a kitchen. Would highly recommend this lovely couple! The man was one of the first guides on galapagos and told us endless stories in Spanish but his wife spoke english well!

Cartago Bay is a gem. Gulnara and Celso are terrific hosts. Huge room, nice shower, comfortable beds, and A/C and strong ceiling fan made for comfortable sleeping. Quiet location that is only a few blocks from everything. Beautiful courtyard. Gulnara's breakfasts have to be the best on the island! Both Gulnara and Celso make you feel at home. Highly recommended and would stay here again.

Accommodation: Our room was large, immaculate, with a very large comfortable bed, great bathroom with soap and body wash, there was AC (although we didn’t need it), and a nice ceiling fan. Quiet & private. There was a nice communal area with hammocks, and there were great hand washing facilities for clothes. Location: Very close to where the boat drops you off. A few minutes walk from the centre of town. Close to a great snorkelling place (conch & Pearl). Hosts: Gulnara and Celso are wonderful people - extremely warm, friendly and service-minded. We felt as though they could be our parents from the Galapagos because they made us feel so at home. Celso was born in the Galapagos and has worked as a captain & guide and knows everything you might want to know about the islands. Breakfasts were also great here. We highly recommend staying here when visiting Isabella.

The owners run the hotel and are very friendly, honest and helpful. The bedroom is big, super clean and the shower is perfect. The location is safe and great. I loved the owners and had a great time in Isabela island.

Driveway was very rocky and my friend tripped as it wasn’t lit well at night. They had no bottled/sterile water for brushing teeth which would have been nice. We forgot to turn AC off while we went out for a quick dinner on a very hot day and they came in and turned it off! After that the host seemed very cold to us.
