I don't know how to express my feelings about staying in the colonial house. , I enjoyed it thoroughly. Mrs. Ornelia, the lady of the house, was such a generous person. Warm and special appreciation to Mr. Santiago and the staff. Lady Ornelia's son gave me a warm welcome, which flattered me. I can't say enough about their organic breakfast menu. For me, the colonial house was an awesome and cozy place to stay. And again, special thanks to everyone. (We all know that traveling is nice and full of experiences. Backpackers travel for long periods, and after some unpleasant experiences, our travels can become challenging and hectic. So, the colonial house can be a good opportunity to stay long and chill and plannn for next steps ;) . The prices are low compared to their quality, so stay in the garden zone, use the gym there as they possess facilities , watch some your favourite movies on their netflix, have a barbecue, take your sunbath, and sip your lemonade with their affordable organic breakfast.)

The bathroom equipment could have been a little more maintained, I would have expected a better price for transportation to the airport, I was surprised to find that a taxi would be cheaper.

Love this place so much I came back for a second stay. It really is your home away from home. The garden is stunning and the family and staff that run it are absolutely lovely and incredibly helpful. Such a great place to stay.

Super friendly, helpful staff, and lovely atmosphere. Very cute garden with hammocks and good kitchen/common area. Great location for the old town - about a 10min walk. We went back 3 times during our time in Ecuador as Quito is such a great base!

I liked everything

This lovely huge hostel is run by a beautiful kind family who went above and beyond in every way to make my stay feel like a home away from home..the wifi is strong and place is very clean and spacious with many cool areas to chill out..they have a very fast cheap laundry service in house which I loved ..i can't recommend this place enough I will always remember my stay here and this families warmth and kindness..10/10 all the way..👍

Having to ring the doorbell for access. Although this is for safety, which is good, the noise can be annoying when working in bedroom. Birds in cages. Not my thing.

Loved the staff. So friendly & smiley & helpful. Free bananas. Grinding my own organic coffee in the mornings. The views from both front & back of the building. The garden, the gym, the hammocks . Great WIFI. Lovely old building with all the quirks that go with its age. Wandering the local area streets was fascinating. Yummy quickly presented super breakfast.

It's pretty cold at night and our room was a bit small. However, it's generally cold in Quito at night so that's not really something that can be helped.

There was plenty to do in the postal, games, pool table, foosball, and instruments. I loved the decor and antiques through the main area. Lovely outdoor space to relax or have breakfast, there was also an outdoor gym available. The breakfast was hearty and delicious for only $3 usd. The staff were very friendly, accommodating and helpful!

Shared bathroom was a bit smelly

We stayed here after staying in Quito previously in a well known nearby hostel and wish we only stayed here instead. A relaxed vibe but a pool table and music if wasted in the semi outdoor area, a kitchen there too and another upstairs. coffee beans and tea for use, the staff were attentive and helped organise transport for an early flight effortlessly. Room was spacious, (they offered a choice of location too) only ones on that floor so had the bathroom to ourselves

Extremely friendly staff members who were helpful. The breakfast offered is good value for money. Great location in the Historical area of the city, walking distance to cafes/restaurants, the local buses and into one of the main areas of the city. Two kitchens available for use and has the basics. A well cleaned fridge for guests. Helpful information cards for using the public buses to tourist attractions and areas out of the city. Great same day affordable laundry service. Could easily spend over a week here!

Weak water pressure in the shower. Also, the  water was warm, not hot. 

Our room was stylish and quite big. To tell the truth, we liked the decoration of the whole hotel. There were plenty of activities: different board games, billiards, table soccer. Everyone can brew coffee in a geyser coffee maker in the common kitchen (it's free). The staff was kind. Near the reception counter there were many shelves with small papers with information about public transport to touristic places. It was really helpful. Moreover, there was a computer and a color printer.

No heating and hot water. Tha area is too empty after dark, so you do shouldn't walk alone after dark

Nice hostel in the middle of the old town. Breakfast is great, WiFi fast and reliable, and the staff is really helpful. They have a garden for relax, and there are many common place to meet with other travellers
