Would 10 out of 10 recommend Tuzco! Every staff person we met was so friendly. The breakfast was amazing. The first night we discovered a minor issue with our shower. We let the owner know in the morning as we were heading out to walk around town. By the time we got back, less than two hours later, the issue had been fixed and our room cleaned! We weren’t even expecting housekeeping services. The pool was amazing and we felt so safe tucked away back there! Juan and his entire staff are great!

The place its self is beautiful, lovely pool surrounded beautiful tranquil gardens! Nice place to sit and chill and read a book or just an afternoon swim and nap! The staff was exceptional helpful and very happy-service with a smile! They save a good breakfast everyday with fresh fruit, juice and coffee. The lodge is in a quiet neighborhood only 4 blocks from the beach and several restaurants!

The breakfast was not what I like, but all the other guests seemed to enjoy it. Maybe they could have a Choice.

The staff were very welcoming and showed us several different rooms to choose from. The pool area was fantastic I was looking for a book to read in English and they had a small library and collection of books to choose from for free. They also have a secret garden behind the pool area Lots of interesting places to relax as well as your room.

The location is quite far away from the center, like 15-20 mins by walk. And since it's not a populated area it was hard for me to get tuktuk to ride me to center or the beach when I needed to go out for dinner with friends. Plus it was dark at night, as a single female traveler I didn't feel 100% safe walking back to lodge after 8.9pm. Last, there were many mosquitos when I stayed (maybe because season) so was a pity I couldn't enjoy outdoor facilities fully. Also not easy for solo traveler to social and make new friends

The staffs are very friendly. The buildings and surrounding areas are pretty and well-organized. Comfortable bed and shower. Big swimming pool. Very quite and relaxing atmosphere!

The hotel can be a bit noisy in the morning, not too early, but by 8 a.m., you'll hear people talking in the courtyard.

Beautiful hotel with a really lovely pool and relaxing area which was so nice to have. Five minute walk to the front but not a problem. Owner was so helpful and accommodating and we felt really at home and comfortable here.

Like many places the pillows need replacing otherwise a perfect 5 night stay.

Tuzco is a beautiful property and has a extraordinary kennel and dog yard. The pool is big and there is a walking meditation garden, well-tended with many birds. The staff are kind and helpful. It's a short walk up from the beach with sunset views.

Everything was wonderful :)

Julio and his father were some of the kindest people I've met on my trip around Ecuador. I arrived to the lodge quite ill and Dr Salazar nursed me back to health and they did everything they could to make me comfortable so I could heal. I wish I could give an even higher rating! The hotel itself is very clean and affordable and even includes breakfast. The pool was very nice as well. 10/10 recommend Tuzco Lodge!

Whole hotel area other than the rooms would need some cleaning and renovation in a few parts. It looks a bit run down in some spots. This could easily be a 10 point hotel if it was cared for a bit better. Nevertheless, we would stay here again as it is still a nice place. Maybe ask for a room that is not facing towards the street, as there are small windows without any glass at the top of the room, which makes it quite loud at night. Also, some cupboards or places to hang your clothes would be nice.

Nice and comfortable beds, room was very clean. Pool area is great to hang out, staff was very friendly and helpful. Good and varied breakfast.

so noisy! There was an upcoming election. Also there’s a rooster that started about 11:30 pm! Pool needed cleaning. Floor was slimy and top needed skimming.

I swear the pillows are stuffed with rocks. No ones fault but the pool is solar heated so was cool. Would like to come back during sunny season and spend a week next to/ in the pool .

really great rooms with big comfy beds, tv, ac, and big bathrooms. Felt so comfortable there that i extended my stay from 3 nights to 6! The whole place has the feel of a mini resort. The breakfast is great and always changing, the decor and vibe is beautiful. The pool looked excellent too. Location is about a ten minute walk from the beach- a bit further than most other hostels and hotels but not a big deal.
