I had a wonderful, restful stay at Casa de Cecilia! I was picked up at the Quito Airport and transported safely in a very clean and well-maintained vehicle by an extremely friendly and accommodating driver who worked for the resort. My room had a beautiful view and the bed was comfortable and clean. The breakfasts (extra) were good and offered next to the river. The staff answered all questions and provided recommendations when requested. The stay was more than I expected and just what I needed!

I had an impression some staff didn't like their job, nevertheless everyone was helpful.

Forget bird watching tours! Stay at Casa Cecilia, chill by the river in the morning and enjoy the company of many amazing colourful species. I liked the cottage style houses, good WiFi, hot water in the shower but the river access is what makes it stand out.

Pictures show there are lots of hammocks, but there were none.. The alternative, the chairs in the common area, weren't very comfortable for chilling with a book

Very clean, room balcony was comfortable and fun, good value for money. Lots of birds can be seen from the room and the common area. Nice back yard with beautiful plants, and two adorable dogs. Breakfast was great (not included in the price) could be nice if it started before 8am

The wifi was pretty spotty but totally fine other than needing it for zoom video calls.

loved this hotel! lovely views of surrounding nature everywhere, friendly staff, a nice little path to wander around each day, sweet dogs on site, and a great eating/sitting/working area with views of the river. I definitely recommend this property!

Clean and modern rooms, spacious and light. Really hot water in the shower, near the river where you can take a dip from the hotel if you want to. 5 min walk to the main square. good beds! Friendly staff

- great location close to town but far enough away for peace and quiet - amazing wooden cabins - nice hammock area to chill out next to river - helped us organise transport to our next location - we got a free upgrade to a bigger room

The location of the hostel is beautiful, right next to a lovely river. It feels secluded but is still very close to the town. Great breakfast, comfortable beds, friendly staff. Right next to a delicious chocolate place.

We had nothing to complain about.

Great location! Just far enough from the centre of Mindo to ensure peace and quiet, still so close to everything (300 meters from the main park). Well kept gardens and a beautiful river right next to the cabins, great for a dip to cool off. Staff was so friendly and helpful all throughout our stay. We got caught in a national strike and our taxi from Quito couldn't make it all the way to Mindo because of road blocks. The staff at Cecilia sent a car to fetch us at the other side of the road block in La Armenia and brought us to the hostal. They also helped us organize several tours. Very clean and comfortable rooms and great breakfast. Will come back for sure!

Really nice location at the edge of the town near the river. Beautiful garden and common space where you can cook, eat and relax. Very friendly admosphere. We loved it here!! Really recommended if you stay in Mindo

It was hard to find a staff person for small requests or questions after morning check- out hours.

Comfortable and clean room on attractive property with several options for places to relax. We used our table on the porch a lot.

Beautiful riverside setting far enough away from town to avoid noise/traffic, but close enough to walk into town for shopping & dining. We booked a birding tour with Sandra at MINDO BIRD PARADISE TOURS. She also set us up with at night time jungle tour. We also visited a butterfly farm - beautiful! Loved it so much, we extended our stay an extra night.

The staff upgraded me from the dorm to my own private room! It was FANTASTIC! I slept so well!

Casa de Cecilia doesn't accept credit cards and the ATM in town doesn't work and hasn't for a month. I had to take a $10 taxi ride to the next town to get cash.

Beautiful natural wood structures, fantastic location next to the river, quiet, relaxing, close to the town center. Staff helped a lot to get anything you need. Useful cooking area next to eating area, some comraderie with fellow travelers.

The location was incredible, right next to a beautiful river, so close to town but no noise except nature. A mass of hummingbirds, motmots and tanagers next to the restaurant where you can order food or there’s a kitchen to cook yourself. Staff were lovely and dorms even had some double beds which was a pleasant surprise. Close to great hikes and they have a tour desk to help with anything you need or just relax in the hammocks next to the river. I stayed a second time and would highly recommend it to anyone.

A piece of paradise! Communal area is located right next to the river, while you can watch humming birds and leguans cruising around. Bed was comfy, bathroom bit small, but okay. Due to language barrier I'm not sure if I got an upgrade, or if all they're dorms simply don't have bunk beds. My (very spacious) room had two double beds in it, as well as a balcony and river view. I could have stayed longer for sure!
