The hotel was charming and built around two large patios. The room was very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The breakfast buffet was excellent and included Ecuadorian dishes and tropical fruit like passion fruit and dragon fruit. The wait staff were very friendly and attentive. The location in Old Town Quito was excellent.

The hotel is a beautiful old building that has the real feeling of a Patio Andaluz. The staff was very helpful. They found for us a great guide, Carlos, very knowledgeable of the history of Quito who took us to tour the area. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very pleasant. The food was delicious and the waitress very kind. We are very happy with our stage. We will stay there again if we go back to Quito.

there were very few electrical outlets in the room and two were behind the bed frame (attached to the wall) and unusable.

the staff was extremely helpful in navigating last minute shifts in my itinerary. they offered very helpful suggestions and were accommodating to my needs. the property itself is a beautiful colonial style building with great care to maintaining it’s integrity while making rooms comfortable. it is very well located and easy to walk to major sites in old town.

These are things that cannot be changed but I would have appreciated knowing ahead of time to prepare: 1. Toilets are very low to the ground so those of us with bad knees/hips, be careful. :) 2. The stairs are all wooden and if your room is located next to stairs or the cleaning closet (also wooden), you will be woken up by those traveling up and down the stairs or opening cleaning closet doors. Not a huge issue, but if you're trying to nap or sleep in, you may need ear plugs.

Breakfast was excellent with a variety of items to choose from. The hotel staff were all very helpful and incredibly nice. We SO appreciated Roger's help in connecting us with Alex, a driver who took us on a few excursions! Outstanding!

The bed was a little hard for my taste but that is an individual preference.

The staff at the hotel was amazing. Super helpful at reception, security and the restaurant. The hotel is in a great location in the old city and you can get an Ueber ride within a few minutes. The food at the restaurant was also very good.

    leaving

Everything, the Architecture, the rooms especially 212. public spaces all in typically Spanish/Moorish tradition. Staff could not be more helpful. Brilliant value for money. This Hotel would be one my favourite places to stay whenever it was. However, in Ecuador it stands out as the competition does not offer this level of comfort for style at this price level
