the shower needs a lot of patience to adjust the water temperature, all the rest was great!

the roof garden was incredible, the room (the higher priced one with garden view) was quiet, nice table with chairs for breakfast surrounded by flowers. close to the shared kitchen. Great cafe on site, very nice staff , especially the nightwatch! early check in allowed us to explore the city already in the morning!

Not many people around. I think partially due to the security situation but also I think its lack reviews on hostelworld. No onsite tour agency.

The terrace of the hostel really lives up to its name. I have never seen any hostels are this beautifully decorated with natural plants and massive sitting and common space areas. The terrace also has fantastic view of one of the city parks, and great for people watching and observing local livelihood. Kitchen is also very well equipped with an industry grade gas stove (fantastic for asian stir fries!) and various condiments. Portable water tank is also provided free of charge. Location is just about 5 minutes off the nearest Metro exit and 10 minutes to the biggest fresh market - Santa Clara. All the bars and restaurants in / around La Mariscal are also within walking distance. Beds are also very premium with no upper bunks, big bathroom with piping hot shower and high water pressure. Towels and soups are provided free of charge. Onsite laundry room (extra fee) Highly recommend for guests aren't into young backpacker scene (The secret gardens?) but yet still seeking for convenience and affordability.

This hostel is beautiful, the staff are very friendly and helpful and the terrace upstairs is stunning. It's a great place to work, hang out, cook, and eat. We booked a private room and the rooms are a great size and very clean.

Our room only had a small window and it was quite stuffy, with a slight smell. Didn’t hugely bother us but air freshener would have made it a 10!

Friendly staff. Beautiful terraces, very peaceful and tranquil. Lots of space to sit and chill. Breakfast in the cafe was nice - $4 for avocado and eggs, guac was delicious. Juice and instant coffee but you can upgrade to a proper coffee if you like. Laundry service fast and good value. Room was very large and comfortable. Cute Pomeranian doggy at reception

The staff were very accommodating and kind gave me lots of help during my stay. The room was exceptionally clean, cozy and warm! The terrace was the top of my list and an amazing place to relax as well! They also have a very clean and aesthetic coffee shop where I enjoyed a delicious breakfast at a great price! I can really feel the owner’s dedication and love for this hostel!! :)

Very friendly staff. Comfortable, spacious room, Lovely roof terrace with areas to chill out. Kitchen looked well equipped, although we didn't use it. The attached cafe offered a reasonable breakfast for a very good price. Would stay here again if we come back to Quito

Rooms 9 and 10 are directly on the very beautiful rooftop terrace which is very green with lots of flowers, even hummingbirds come to feed. The terrace is very quite and has places to sit and enjoy the view. The rooms are nice and clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful.

Our bed wasn't the most comfortable, but we had the economic double room, so the cheapest .

Great value for money. This hostel is walking distance from the city centre and they have an international bank near which doesn't take commission for foreigners. The staff were really helpful, and they allowed us to leave the luggage for a few days that we were travelling to Galápagos and the Amazon. The decor is also beautiful and pleasant. Breakfast for $3 is also great, and they have laundry service and a great kitchen with a terrace upstairs 😀

-The area is a little rowdy. Would not suggest to walk around late at night. - Slightly out of the key historic centre, so it can be a walk.

-The owner is very lovely and he has a cutee dog! -The garden and eating area overlooking the park is like a lil paradise in the city. - Love the comfy bed

Absolutely nothing, it was amazing.

This Hostal is one of the nicest hostels I've ever stayed in. The interior design is so beautiful, it has a gorgeous terrace and it's incredibly clean and at a great and safe location in Quito (close to the Artisanal market and a great chocolate shop, the old town is either 15-20 minutes walking distance or easily reachable with the Bus). For business reasons I stayed at the Hilton Hotel across the street the week before but needed a more budget solution for the night before my flight back and I've never stayed at a hostel before where I would say that the rooms are comfier, nicer and especially decorated better than a 4-star hotel but this is the case for Quito Terrace. If I'm ever back in Quito again, this Hostal will be my go-to location to stay.

Bit far from the old town, but we knew that and took an uber for 2-3 Dollar.

Nice and clean kitchen. Super nice terrace and cafe. Breakfast option for 3 Dollar per person. Nice cozy rooms. Warm shower. Bit cold in winter but enough blankets.

Nothing to say, everything was perfect (except maybe that I didn't get to meet the dog of the hotel I've seen in the pictures before and don't walk around at night which is because it's Quito)

The terrace is such a heavenly place in der this noisy city - calm, green and relaxing. The garden is cared for with a lot of love it seems. Beds are comfortable and water is warm.

The area where the hostel is located seemed fine during the day time, however we were warned by both tour guides and Uber drivers that the area is not safe at night time. We had no issues during our stay though and would definitely recommend this hostel to anyone visiting Quito as it is great value for money with very nice staff.

Very pleasant and helpful staff. The room was clean and fresh towels were provided often. The hostel also has a nice coffee shop attached which was very handy. There is a spacious communal kitchen and supermarkets very close by. The location was well placed between the historical centre, and Parque La Carolina, where there are many restaurants and shops around.

The location is a little out of the way. For us we wanted to explore a little in the day and relaxation night andit was perfect for that. If you did want to go out at night it's easy and cheap to get taxis.

An amazing haven in the middle of Quito. One of our best stays in SA so far. The terrace is delightful, so peaceful. The kitchen is clean and has good facilities. The onsite cafe is a great addition. Reallynice rooms, quiet and comfortable. Staff really friendly and helpful. Can't say enough good things about this place.

Terras was nice. Staff is very helpfull. It was quiet and green in a busy part of Quito. It was really good to relax after spending a day in busy Quito The coffee and fresh juice with the breakfast was excellent. Excellent fast Wifi compared to some previous stays in Ecuador. The top floor had a beautifull garden, there even were humming birds.
