The prices of the restaurant are overpriced for Ecuador, although the food is really good. Skechty area at night so be careful when going out.

The steps/stairs could be lit better - rather dark in places.

I ate at the restaurant 3 times and didn’t think the food was up to par all 3 times. The coke bottle windows have a small opening on the top part and people can see you when they walk up the stairs. The stairs should be painted a brighter colour instead of black. Almost tripped a few times

Noise from the rooftop tends to echo down through the hostel, and people walking up and down the metal stairs can be a bit loud, but we were right next to the stairs, maybe other rooms aren't as loud. The music stops by around midnight so it's not going all night. The reception is also on the rooftop so you have to trek up 4 flights of stairs just to check in. The bathroom doors are open at the top and bottom, which is a bit much when it's an ensuite right next to the bed.

The hostel was clean and comfortable. The travel desk on entry was really helpful and offered a good range of single and multi day trips. The rooftop had a great view of Quito for sunsets. The hostel was walking distance to the historic centre, and had really good vibes while we were there.

Very nice vibes in the hostel and amazing terrace and restaurant. Room was nice and clean as well as the shared areas. Great support from Mario at the reception for any inquiries, and cool day trip organized to Cotopaxi. Even though there was a blackout ongoing when we arrived (in the whole neighbourhood, so not the Hostel's fault) they made everything to keep the situation under control :)

Expensive food and drinks for outside people (discount of 50%) for people who stay in the hostel, please, lower the price for people from outside!

We love this hostel. We had a private room and the bed was very comfortable. The hostel is quiet at night, so no problem sleeping. The rooftop restaurant is great, and serves good food at 1/2 price for guests. We went on the free walking tour and really enjoyed it. The tour to Midad del Mundo was great value.

The shower in the shared shower didn’t drain.

The rooftop bar and the 50% off food and drinks offered to guest made this place exceptional. The private rooms were quite large, and we had one room with a shared shower and one room with our own shower. Both were great and affordable.

The double room we booked had no window and neither a ventilation system. The room is therefore a bit mouldy and smells bad after showering. But for a night or two it would be fine. The room isn’t sound proof thus conversations in the hallway can be heard well & feel a bit disturbing in the early morning.

This hostel offers the best service of all hostels we’ve ever been to. They organise airport transfers, the laundry service is excellent, their own travel agency is very fair and helpful, they have a free luggage storage with lockers that can be used for as long as you want, late checkout for the dorms if you go to the Amazon (and later in this case means at 23:00), etc. The staff is super friendly and incredibly helpful, even with problems outside of the hostel. All guests get 50% off in the restaurant, which offers fairly priced food and drinks. It has great breakfast options and a daily changing dinner special. The view over the city there (the restaurant is on the rooftop) is also really great. The bed is comfortable and the shower is warm and has a good pressure.

We loved everything about this hostel. Our private room was great value, basic but with everything we needed. The upstairs restaurant has a great view over the city, cheap but good food and drinks, and a nice vibe for relaxing or meeting fellow travelers. The bar music can be a bit noisy at times, but this stops every night at 11pm sharp so it didn’t bother us at all. The travel agency downstairs can help you organize tours and transfers. We did the free walking tour (definitely recommend), a day trip to Otavalo, and then also stayed 2 nights in Secret Garden Cotopaxi (must do!)… but the staff can help you plan anything you want to do, they are wonderful!!

Fantastic hostel right in the middle of old town. Amazing views from the balcony area. The whole place has a really nice vibe and the staff are so friendly and helpful, as guest you are treated so well. They organised a group, free walking tour of the city the morning after we arrived which was interesting and fun. Amazing value for money, a really nice experience.

I think this hostel is pretty much close to perfection. If you want a backpacking expierence (by no means an authentic Ecuadorian expierence), its your place to go. Perfect location, super comfy, fair price, drinking water and a stunning roof top terrace. 10/10
