The Staff was amazing, from volunteers like Luciano to Kevin (who does the free-walking tour) to the owners as well. The pizza is tasty. The location is nearby cheap eats (try the restaurant desayuno y almuerzo for a true ecuadorian experience) or also pizzeria boschetti (entertaining cook and good pizza), live music/brewery (la oficina), the cathedral, and outings can be organized (would recommend the secret garden cotopaxi or going to Cuyabeno, in the amazon). Really nice view. Enjoy.

The building needed some maintenance. The windows in our room wouldn't close properly and had duct tape in place to help seal them. And hot water was really only warm at best. There was no filtered water available for guests, just bottles that you could buy in the restaurant. We asked and the staff told us that the tap water was safe to drink. We didn't try it because we had heard so many people warn against drinking the tap water. Every other place that we stayed in Ecuador provided filtered or bottled water free for guests. I'd suggest bringing a water filter (we used a Sawyer Squeeze that we use when backpacking). We also never felt especially safe in the neighborhood. Of course that's not the fault of the hostel, but we'll probably stay in a different neighborhood if we return to Quito.

Vibes has a very friendly and helpful staff that we very much appreciated. The building is old but very pretty and our room was spacious. We enjoyed the rooftop deck and restaurant space and the dogs that live there were lots of fun. Overall the place had a chill vibe that we really enjoyed.

The walls are pretty thin so you can hear surrounding noise but it didn’t bother us.

The room is clean, comfortable and spacious. The common areas are lovely and the staff are friendly. The hostel is just across the main road from the historic centre. Some nice cheap restaurants around. Best shower we have had in a while!

The beds in the dorms are really cute. I stayed there over Christmas and they prepared a little dinner. Breakfast is perfect and they have cute dogs at the hostel.

Was not super social for being a hostel - though they have recently changed locations so rebuilding up the amenities.

Great location and price for our few days in Quito! The room was clean and very spacious. Personel was friendly and communicative - helped arrangements for taxi to and from the airport and free walking tour!

Quite a bit noisy in the morning and evening hours which is to be expected given central location. We didn't like the coffee included in breakfast but I suppose you get what you pay for- great value for money.

We stayed here only for two nights and found the accomodation and common space lovely and clean. It is not as busy as the surrounding hostels which we really liked. The breakfast was of a great standard and vast majority of employees super attentive and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

It’s cold in the night. Hot water isn’t available though it is a bit warm. Alcohol is not allowed to bring from outside.

There was a lot of noise from the street that could be heard early in the morning. Also, most shops and restaurants that are around the hostel close pretty early.

The staff were very friendly and it was clean. They are located within walking distance to old town and arrange daily walking tours.

The neighborhood wasn't great. It was also under construction but it had a lot of abandoned-looking buildings covered with graffiti. The clerks advised not to go outside alone at night. I think this area is undergoing a redo and it will be great in a year or two.

I loved the old house that this hostel came from. There were cute wooden stairways, the floors were all wood. The rooftop bar was great, as was the bartender, cook, and included breakfast.

Be smart and use Uber/Indrive/taxis to get around at night. The place should also create a booklet with tips and suggestions on what to do, where to eat, and ho we to get around for their guests. This would be very helpful.

Nice rooftop with views. Room was large and shower was hot. You have to open the water fully first to get it hot, then adjust. Good security with locked door at night for security. Decent breakfast. Maybe 10 minutes walk to the historic city center where during the day it's active. Only 5 minutes walk to the mercado central.

The hostel is pretty noisy. Bathrooms connected with other rooms and above the door in the room there was an open space, so you hear basically everything.

Good hostel with friendly staff. Nice breakfast for a good price and having dinner in the hostel for 6 dollars is also really nice. The hostel offers good tours and is located well. The rooftop has a nice view on the cathedral and the city.

I stayed over a long period at the Vibes Hostel (extended my stay multiple times to stay 3 weeks in total). The general vibe of the place was excellent, I made connections with both guests and workers and they quickly made me feel I was part of a family. Santiago, the manager, is a great guy and went above and beyond to make sure I was enjoying my stay and provided a bunch of priceless local tips The daily breakfast was excellent and the accommodations' prices for both dorms and private rooms (tried 4 different ones) are unbeatable for the location, which is close to the historic centre so at walking distances to all the museums, churches and other touristic attractions Quito has to offer. I will come back again 😊

Really beautiful spacious room. Had an upgrade through booking and was great. Nicely furnished and really comfy bed. Great staff. Very welcoming and loads of information. Nothing was too much trouble. Even helped with info once we'd left the property. We came back for a might when returning through. Breakfast was great and Luciano was lovely. Great rooftop terrace.

The Rio Napo room was great, the roof top offfers a great view and a fire place, the staff was very kind. The hostel is not for partying but rather comfy and quit. We enjoyed our stay and stayed several nights!
