My sister and I stayed here twice. First time in the newer section, we had a king- sized bed. Very comfortable. 2nd time we were in the older section with twin beds. Not as comfortable. Older section is beautiful with tall ceilings and all new bathroom fixtures as in the new section. Shower is slippery so use caution!

The staff are exceptional. Very helpful with suggestions on places to eat and things to do, carrying luggage and calling taxis. Absolutely beautiful views from the restaurant (where breakfast is served) and beautiful hotel.

The thing that always accompanies great views is steep terrain, and Vista del Angel did not disappoint in the views it offered. Fortunately cab rides are cheap enough that we could walk downtown to various town squares and catch a cab back when we were tired. It was all good.

Nearly all of Quito can be seen from this hotel, and the views are great during the day and fantastic at night. Breakfast there put our American establishments to shame. Vista del Angel provides a breakfast unlike any other hotel I have been to, from the elegantly presented fruit and cereal plate to the custom cooked eggs with ham and cheese with Cafe Americano. Breakfast was a true delight!

Jacuzzi was pretty cold.

Our room was a little small for our needs, but the courtyard and grounds were so nice it was truly a pleasure to spend time there. This hotel is the definition of boutique hotels and the amenities and beauty of the place more than made up for the room being a little small.

The view from the restaurant on the 3rd floor was spectacular, and the breakfast was really excellent. The staff went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and completely happy. We would stay there again on our next trip to Quito!

A bit pricey for Equador but in the end, worth the money for the comfort and conveniance

Wonderful hotel with a restaurant on site. Close to Central district but it is a climb. Taxi and Uber if you need yo get around without walking. Kevin is amazing for all of your questions and speaks very good English. . And the views of the city are to die for!!!

There is little sound insulation but this didn't really bother us. The rooms are on the small side.

The views are amazing and the location is great, up a steep hill overlooking the historic center and easy walking distance (downhill) to everything. We took Ubers or occasionally taxis ($2 or less) to get back up the hill, which was super easy. Excellent breakfast. The staff was very nice. The hotel is in a special spot and we liked being perched here. We would definitely recommend it if you're looking for a hotel in the historic center.

Nothing. It’s a great place to get to know Quito.

We had a great time. The hotel is very well cured, clean and in a great location. You have the best view over Quito in the morning and evening. The short walk from the old city is no problem and at nighttime you have to take a taxi anyways. The breakfast is great with fresh ingredients . Also the dinner was very good. The room nice with a great view and very clean. The staff was great. I would definitely recommend the hotel.

This magnificent hotel ( ex private residence) is truly impressive and is worth a stay. As are the commanding views of Quito and the old city , by day or by night. the staff were very helpful and super friendly and supported our stay throughout.

Our room was internal with a window onto a corridor, however that corridor was entirely glass. it just meant we didn’t get a through draft to dry some clothes.

it’s a gorgeous building, Quito is very hilly so beware. the hotel is in/near the old town with some lovely old Spanish building near. close to the basilica. a short walk to nice restaurants however miles away from the cable car, centre of the world and a real good walk to the ‘main tourist’ region. the hotel is super secure and gated. which is good as Quito is classed as unsafe after dark. We felt fine but didn’t stay out after 9pm mainly as we had day tours planned which were early starts. a couple of the day tours had pick up points really close which was awesome. crazy good city views from the property! breakfast is insane to be included A****
