For the price it’s amazing value, 1kg of laundry free per night, really big bunk beds, the staff are so nice, big tv with Netflix and fifa and drinks/food are not overpriced.

the staff here has been extremely helpful! I broke my fibula just above the ankle and they have gone above and beyond for me - they changed rooms so I had less stairs to deal with, brought my bags to my new room, helped me get to the right medical facility, helped me get around, brought me my food delivery and are always asking if I need any help

It was a bit light in the women's room. Maybe darker curtains would be good. And some stairs to the high bed.

I loved this place. The volunteers make it very special. In the evening the hostel jammed together, real hostel experience. Maybe not ideal for people who want a more silent place, but great to connect and meet new people.

Very comfortable beds, excellent location, good Wifi, nice kitchen, I had an excellent free breakfast with juice, egg, homemade bread and marmelade, cheese! The staff are excellent people!

I had a very nice time in the Wild Monkey Hostel. The beds are very comfortable and it’s a nice atmosphere. Everything is clean and you can wash 1 Kg of cloth for free. They have a fireplace where we did a fire on some evenings. The people working in the Hostel are very nice. I can recommend this hostel to everyone:))

The beds are super comfortable, the rooms are really spacious and the hostel is just a 5 min walk for the main plaza.

It's a great hostel. The volunteers and staff are absolutely lovely and will go above and beyond to help you out (shout out Sam!) and the location is perfect in Cuenca. If you're looking for a budget option I highly recommend Wild Monkeys. It's not luxury but it's nice given the price.

> only outside social space/couches etc > things got missing in the laundry > from our friends group (4) -> 3 of us got some of our things taken from the fridge! (not the hostel‘s fault but still annoying) > dirty bathrooms and mirrors > shelves in the bathroom are missing > kind of smelly in the rooms too… > could be cleaner (kitchen, bathrooms,…)

Keep in mind that the hostel is simple. I don't think it's an issue, but I want to manage your expectations. You'll see, you'll love it anyway

The staff and people in this hostel are absolutely lovely! They always have a smile and take care of you. It almost doesn't feel you're in a hostel, rather in the house of somebody you know

This was a lovely little guest house, a bit out of town but very easy to access by bus or taxi (20 min bus for $1 or a taxi). If youre only here for a few days, visit the tortoise sactuary on the way from the airport. The family were very welcoming, and I had a lovely room to myself. I didn't get the opportunity to try but they also do home cooked meals here too. Just an FYI, bring ear plugs as there's a few roosters who haven't made it to Sunday lunch yet...

One of the best hostels I’ve stayed at! Everything is clean and nice, and the workers were so nice and helpful! Plus they provide free laundry! It can’t get better than this! P.S The location is also amazing and close to everything!
