How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

There was not a single negative thing. Therefore, I liked everything very much.
The apartments exceeded our expectations. Very well equipped apartments with all furniture, bed linen, board games, etc... A lot of space, so there will definitely be enough space for 6 people. Very convenient parking right there on the territory. Recommended for families with small children. The location is very good, about 10 min. to the city center. Shops are right next door, you don't have to go far. I definitely recommend it to others, and when I return to Tartu, I will definitely choose these same apartments.

Everything was great.
Everything was excellent. The apartment was very spacious, up to date furnishings and equipment. Even better than the photos. Very peaceful area, but still so close to the town centre. All the information was so clear and easy to follow.

View from the window. Construction works in 20 meters. Probably building another guesthouse.
Enough space even for more than 5 people family. Big dinning table, really nice 1 King size and 1 Queen size bed and huge sofa that could be used as bed for at least 2-3 persons (kids). Friendly greetings (candies) received from the owner on arrivals, left on the table 👍 Comfy kitchen equipped with all cooking staff 👌 2 toilets 👍

The aparmetnt was perfect! It was very spacious, clean, had everything that could be needed and even some complementary snack were provided. The check-in and check-out system was simple and there is a reserved spot for car park right outside. We really enjoyed our stay!

Truly, there is nothing negative to say about this apartment. It exceeded our expectations.
This was a wonderful apartment. Newly renovated, it was clean, modern and very comfortable. There was a nice deck out back, two toilets and one shower. A grocery store was across the street, which made shopping comfortable. Lots of pots and pans to cook food.

Excellent apartments, where the owner has thought of everything - both the interior, amenities and even all kinds of small things for the household and the kitchen. Easy access and parking, not far from the city center.

The only thing we missed - a place for drying wet clothes after snowfun. As there are heated floors, there are no radiators
Warm &cozy, location is perfect for waking. Terrace is lovely and comfortable.

Nothing to dislike.
Beds very comfortable, very well equipped, very clean, very fresh and nice decor, extremely quiet, no neighbours, lots of complimentary coffee, fruit, toiletries, owner very friendly and punctual on arrival. One of the best apartments we have stayed at in Estonia.Photos do not do it justice, extremely good place.

The property is perfectly equipped for long
We had a really nice surprise - shampagne and some snacks. That little attention always make you feel special. The property is perfectly equipped for long stays. Even separate drinking water stand with choice - sparkling or still, proper coffee machine with coffee and lots more. Check in first before you rush to shop for groceries.

A little inconvience - we stay 2 families, but there was only one key for all guests. In future host may be can consider to provide extra key for such situations.

The service provided was more i was excpecting. We were welcomed and treated as "personal frieends". Although the initial plan was to go out in the evening, instead we decided to stay and just relax. I don't want to spoil the surprise for next guests, but as a teaser - snacks and drinks for the night, good coffee or tea in the morning. You must come and find it out yourselves!

A little bit messy. The place is pets friendly that is big plus, but it has a strong dogy smell - it might be a problem if you are an allergic.
A lot of space, two WCs, very big couch in the living room, fist floor. very modern apartment, and of course the most important thing is a location, it is right in the city center, 5-7 minutes walk to the main square.
