Lack of bins around the property. Also the bathroom had a very weird smell.

Good for the price and very close to the train station. Room was comfortable and it was nice to have a fridge and kettle inside.

I was not able to open my wine. I looked, others looked - the full kitchen and zero wine openers. Sad. But the second night we got it open in a restaurant across the street. Also, the mugs inside our room were dusty. Otherwise the room was clean. One suggestion: to add small tables (there are options where 3 tables fit under 1), so you do not need to use chairs, if for example you do not want to put your phone on the floor, when it is loading near you (alarms in a room, with a lot of people kind of problem 😅). Keep up the good work and please buy some wine openers 🙏

Compared to the real hotels in Tartu the price is quite high, so preferably we would stay in a real hotel next time, as the prices are even lower with breakfast included.

As announced, there was no breakfast in the house, but no problem, some equipment in the room. We had a pet with us, the rooms are suitable for that, no carpets etc. It was so nice to have a spacious room for the family (2+1+1)

Our room was on the street side and a bit noisy (but I saw free earplugs in the lobby). Within two day I received 10 e-mails from the hostel with check in and other information, 1-2 would have been enough.

The room was a bit dusty, and the shower curtain had black stains. We decided to check out the facilities and got locked in the basement. The password didn't work, so we had to use emergency exit.

We checked in smoothly and were able to access the room straight away. The room was pretty decent. A tiny kitchen corner is really nice to have when it's freezing outside and you want to make a cuppa. Also, bonus points for sauna and gym.

Before arrival I received an email inviting me to do self-check-in on their platform. We were many adults and many children, but I was the one, who did that booking, so I received that invitation. The platform required to enter the data about each person (at least there was no information about some other approach). So it took a lot of time for me, but at the end it turned out that the platform didn't accept none of three of our family's credit cards. So I couldn't finish it. Afterwards, answering my e-mail, I received an e-mail, which stated just something general, but it didn't say that it's not mandatory to do check-in. But in the end it turned out that no one on the spot even asked to check-in - we just lived in the hostel with the pin codes (received by e-mail and sms) of our several rooms, no registration, no check-in, no document check. It would be nice if they didn't bother guests with that self check-in platform before arrival - it would save much tome and nerves. This is the only reason for 9, not 10 points.

Communication with staff is too virtual. I couldn't find a fast communication channel. They didn't answer my message. There was a problem with the bathroom.

The communal kitchen is great! There are so many kitchen appliances that you can cook anything from oven pizza to soup and stir fry. And the kitchenette in the room is quite decent and sufficient: microwave, basic dishes, refrigerator and kettle, sink and dishwashing detergents.

While everything else was clean, the top shelf was super dusty. I wanted to throw my scarf and hat there, but was met with a dustbomb.

The room was super cozy, warm and comfortable! It had everything that I would need - cutlery, plates, hairdryer, etc. I also got to meet Gutenberg, the famous cat that lives in Aparaaditehas :)

Shower silicone corners had some debri and faucet overflow area was showing not too thorough cleaning. Otherwise all was good and clean. Filling the water kettle in our room was a bit tricky - it did not fit under the faucet and the shower head was a tiny bit too big to pour the water in, but we managed.

Very easily accessible first floor room, very convenient. We loved the hanger rod in the room that you could adjust for yourself. Very functional furniture in the 3 persons room.

Windows leaked cold air in pretty harshly. We didn't want to open the curtains as the room would become too cold really fast. And you can clearly hear when people are opening their doors across the hallway.

The easy use of online check-in and check-out saved us a lot of time. Johannes Gutenberg (a cat) met us at the doors, which was so sweet! Overall, great experience, no additional contact with staff was needed. The location is great for as, as we were going to the festival across the road. Rooms are clean, bed are comfy.

The sink in the bathroom might be a bit larger.

Room was very minimalistic. The sink might be a bit larger (I stayed at 1-person room). The room was very clean and warm (I stayed during the very cold period but the room was still warm). Overall image was very good, the entire hotel has a good atmosphere. The owner of Hektor was always on site (a cute black cat) who welcomed his guests on the warm radiator in the lobby.

This hostel has become quite impersonal. We checked in at 4pm and left at 8 the next morning. During that period there was not one staff member on site at any time. Received several emails requesting I download an app to check in, check out and pay. Just clicking through to evaluate the app already obliges agreeing to a data policy that you cannot read first. No breakfast available. There used to be a cafe, but it's closed. There used to be a vending machine - even that's gone now.

Hostel is calm and quiet enough. I requested a quiet room and was given one. Parking is gated with keypad entrance.

There weren't any day curtain, so it was a bit strange to change close next to the window.

Room was clean and spacious, close to the city center. Possible to storage your food and drinks in your own fridge.

The hotel allows pets, but the metal stair-lattice from the parking lot is not dog-friendly. Dogs must be picked up or walked around the main entrance. Unfortunately the cafe, sauna and gym did not work, which was not warned in advance, which could affect the choice of the hotel.
