The water from the tap/shower had a strong sulfphur smell which was not nice at all when using water for anything. And the bungalow could have been a bit cleaner - I mean not the house itself as we're in the woods and things tend to be not sterile. But the dishes and cutlery or kitchen appliances for example were sticky/not cleaned well so we had to wash most of the stuff before using it.

The location is gorgeous, peaceful and quiet. It's in the middle of the woods, though, not too far away from the lake. If you want to fully relax and leave your stressed daily life behind, this is the place to go and you will love it! The compound is huge and there are just 4-5 bungalows around the place so you can have a lot of alone time. A playground, pond, some sitting facilities and so on are in place. Our small bungalow had an outside dinner area and a grill which was super nice. The inside of the house was country-style and purposive. Don't forget to bring some moskito repellent, you will need it in the middle of the woods. The breakfast you could get for a small fees was really good 😊👍

We liked everything. Better chairs perhaps? Maybe more photos of the property for the advertisment and a layout of the rooms?

The place was very clean and well kept. It had all the amenities needed and promised. I would describe it as cozy and welcoming. The host was very responsive and friendly. Would go again!

Tranquillity - the place has a special calm and easygoing vibe. Small pond to swim in after the astonishing sauna in the cabin, hammocks on the shore and no clocks anywhere to be found. Playground for kids, lovely rabbits that keep kids occupied. Location is remote enough to get totally disconnected but still within a short drive from everything You need. Other cabins within sight but far enough to feel completely private. Cabin itself blew us away : amenities for every possible breakfast one could make (pots and pans, toaster, sandwich grill, 2 different coffee making possibilities AND coffee and sugar on the shelves above, even ice cubes waiting for You in the deep freezer). Inside was modern cozy country style if I tried to sum it up shortly. I did already mention the sauna above. Only electric thing about it was the lightbulb. Wood heated sauna like it is supposed to be but really took the first place in my sauna experiences (and I have had a lot during last 35 years) Definitely visiting again and again and again.

Amazing location and the surrounding area too... Everything is so well organized that basically you can just enjoy your time there totally....don't miss the place if you are in the area and definitely get the dinner as well as the breakfast because all it is coming like a cherry on the top of the cake....

We came to Kauksi Puhkemaja for my husband's birthday on the 1st of December and it was wonderful. A place for peace of mind and body. The hosting lady was charming, the place was warm and clean, forests around with white showy landscape. We had the most relaxing experience!

We had the perfect experience there. The host is so so friendly, the area is calm and beautiful. I also had a chance to meet a wild fox, because the Puhkemaja is surrounded by the forrest. We lived in the small house near the pond, I think it is the best choice for couples. There was everything we need in the appartment, also the host gave us some salt, because we forgot it. We took bicycles and had nice rides to the lake and small shop nearby. It is rather convenient to get to Kauksi by bus from Tartu and Narva. Thank you for the pleasant stay, hope we will visit you again soon! Our special hello to the super friendly dog, Lucy, and the fluffy rabbit.

Nothing that we did not like but just a note to have maybe some curtains in front of shower window (we made do with towels).

The hostess was so lovely (and the resident dog as well!) and we had warm and also cold breakfast which was very nice on both mornings! We stayed at bigger house with sauna which was very easy to work and we had lots of space!
