Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United Kingdom- English was not spoken much there. Mostly Russian guests. - The buffet can get very busy which is made worse when people are rude and don't know how to queue. - Beach sunbeds are reserved/toweled very early (around 6am)
- Food was good with a large selection of things to choose from. - The hotel grounds are amazingly well kept. The beach and pool area are lovely too.

United StatesI would have liked a gym with more of the machines working, for example, only one treadmill worked. The shower in my room didn't get too much hot water. I would have liked for my room to have more of a cleaner scent as well.
We enjoyed that the lobby smelled good, all the bathrooms were clean, the food was very good, and the beds were comfortable. I appreciate that one of the pools was heated since it was in the 70s. Nader at the front desk was helpful.

Ukrainebut I would like to add a small recommendation. I think it will be better for guests if guests in the restaurant can come up to the distribution point and get some for themselves. ketchup, mayonnaise, mustard from a jar with a pump, since ketchup packets do not always open, people take more than they need and then they throw it all away, but from a jar with a pump you can immediately dose yourself and take as much as you need. I also wanted to add that often desserts come in one cake or cut into large pieces, which is a lot for one person and in the end everything is thrown away. Regarding the animators, I think it would be better if activities for children are held earlier, water aerobics, in my opinion, should also be held earlier when the guests are not yet tired... this was the only hotel from which we were sad to leave, because it was really very good there. We were in many hotels and almost everywhere there was a problem with the quality and taste of food, but here the guys really try and everything works out well!
I express my gratitude to the staff of the Grand Oasis Hotel. I would like to note that the hotel’s restaurant and cuisine are all very tasty, there is a large selection to suit every taste, there is also a children’s menu. And the most important thing is that all dishes are prepared to taste, everything looks beautiful and of course delicious! Special thanks to the restaurant staff) these guys flit around every day (we will provide photos). Welcoming, friendly and very attentive!!!!! The restaurant staff (let’s note the man who made our vacation simply magical, his name is Moataz), are very polite, it’s always a pleasure to contact them with any request. The hotel rooms are not very new (well, many buildings are being restored), but everything is in working order. Housekeeping also works well. They are such hard workers all day long cleaning and washing things. It's so nice to come back to clean rooms. The area is well maintained, there is a beautiful living reef!!! There is a children's room for children, and a small playground, our child really liked it there) Thanks everyone!!!!!

United KingdomThe way some people took advantage of the food on offer and filled their plates and left half of it, also loading there bags with food to be taken away from the restaurant. Although there are notices in several languages advising people not to do these things.
Plenty of choice for all nationalities.

SlovakiaWhen I went to the beach/pool after 14:30 they never had any towels left. They could also put paleo food on lunch and dinner, sometimes tables were full and was no place to sit. The massage guy was very rude. The gym is broken, absolutely needs renovation because like this its no use
The room was light and big. The public spaces were really clean, I have never seen in any hotel clean so much public toilets. The food was good, just sometimes didnt last until the end. Very nice reception and guest relations staff, always there to help you

SwedenEverything beyond the reception/lobby area is old-looking and worn (but it’s kept clean and tidy). The constant blaring music by the pool and beach got on our nerves after a few days. The air conditioning was noisy so we mostly left it off. I only ate at the hotel but got food poisoning for two days. But my wife didn’t get it.
The staff are very friendly and service-minded. I’d like to especially mention the bartender Gasser who remembered our preferences, our housekeeper Mohammed (for room 1239) who accommodated our comings and goings and the friendly Nader in the reception. We got a free upgrade and the sea view was incredible. The balcony for each room gives a very airy and pleasant impression. The beach and the reef are very pleasant and clean. Food selection is extensive, generally hygienic and tasty, with the exception of sausages which were awful. Desserts are especially tasty!

United KingdomFrom beach to restaurant is about 0.6 miles walking up the hill and only 1 golf car with 4-5 seats . Which means can only take 1 family at the time . Waiting for another 20 min or longer . Walking on the heat is frustrating . Even if you don’t go directly from Beach to the restaurant you will still visit both location few times a day . Management is responsible for excessive use of plastic which is damaging to Red Sea and environment . Hotel using little plastic caps about 13.000 cups a day . Also Little plastic bottles And plastic tray in Pizza bar , snack bar. Soooo much plastic! Plastic release deadly toxins when recycled poisoning our planet . Plastic garbage ends up in the Sea killing Marine life. It’s very sad to see dead corals across Egypt . Please stop destroying Red Sea . Use paper cups, bigger plastic bottles. And don’t use chemicals in the beach to clean snorkeling mask .
We travel to Egypt to enjoy marine life in the Red sea. The The hotel is very big with large choice of rooms. Cleaning standards are very high. Lovely Beach with showers , toilets, bar , food . Staff speaks many languages and willing to help . Want to say thank you to reception Manager Mohammed who was very polite , helpful, efficient during our stay . 10 out of 10. Most pleasant surprise was Food. I am a picky eater and lucky enough to be ably to eat in Michelin star restaurants and have to say Grand Oasis food was excellent! Loads of variety, good quality ingredients, deliciously made. Grilled prawns, drilled meat , grilled fish , slowly cooked beef , fried , steamed … everything was very tasty . I stayed for 3 weeks and was enjoying every dish . Shef Yassir is the Legend ! Professional and a good Men . He has passion, love and pride in his work which results in excellent food and service. Thanks you very much Shef Yassir , your food is fantastic 🤗

HungaryThe level of cleanliness of the rooms could improve something, as well as the quality of the furnitures and wrappers, but these factors didn't eclipse the pleasure of our stayment!
It was the first time for us to be here, and we had realy good experiences! It was a period when the location was nothing crowded. What I must to emphasize is the hospitality and kindness of the stuff. The quality of the foods and drinks included in the all inclusive option were of wery high level, and much more than enough. T he location, the structure of the place, the rooms, the environment, etc. also fulfilled all our requirements, so I would recommend the place with confidence.

EgyptWe need more Beach activities ( like volleyball, aqua gym, etc ) than bellydancing, Yoga and darts. Also snacks are not tasty and repetitive, everyday fajita, hotdog and fries on beach, so doesn’t make sense to eat same food everyday and some people prefer to skip lunch and have just light snack till dinner time to remain enjoying beach time. Gym needs gym lol. Note: à La carte restaurants are free of charge at most of the hotels, just guests book a date and enjoy the meal, so please consider waiving charges for those restaurants.
Location is great, just 10 mins walk from Soho square. Food at restaurant tastes delicious and lots of varieties to pick. Amazing beach with spectacular snorkeling area. Special Thanks to Mr Samuel Receptionist for his support and professionalism.
