Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe place is super clean. Cleanliness and comfort is very important to me so my room was clean, had working AC, view of the Nile from the window, and the bathroom was also super clean. No dirty smells, excellent water pressure, the bed was clean. The terrace has so peaceful and had a beautiful view of the dunes and Nile. Everything was amazing and I wish I would have stayed longer. Thank you!

United StatesIt is a set of rooms attached to the family's home. They are welcoming and helpful with organizing transport for you if you ask. Comfortable beds, and the riverfront view is truly lovely. They have a wonderful terrace upstairs. We're glad we chose to stay on Elephantine rather than on the Aswan side.

EgyptI am not a fussy person so that I am easy to please the room was clean it had coffee it had a tea kettle, shared kitchen area. This room does not have a private Bath but the bath in the Shared area is nice. The split AC is a luxury and I really am comfortable in these beds compared to some of egypts mattresses .for $27 it was wonderful and the breakfast was quite good too. Also I have stayed here several times and I've brought my son who was autistic who has a hard time with new places but he really likes it here

SpainThe location is superb, facing the West Bank. Rooms are nice and clean, and from the window you have the best sight: super calm, just the river Nile and sand dunes behind, with no noise from the city, which is behind you in the other part of the island. Pickups and transportation were perfectly well handled by the manager, even when tours were arranged with other companies. He even prepared breakfast for us at 4:30 AM for the Abu Simbel early visit. Staying in Elephantine Island is an experience, and Abazido is a great choice for living it.

This guest house is in such a lovely corner of the island. It feels secluded and relaxing and is a lovely change from the busyness and chaos of most places in Egypt. The views over the Nile really took my breath away. It was so nice to wake up and sit on the balcony and take in the views. The room was large, comfortable and very clean. The host and his family were all lovely. We felt welcomed and at home. The breakfast was traditional and really tasty, made by the hosts wife. The house is a 5 minute walk from the ferry. It’s easy to navigate using google maps. The ferry costs £10 Egyptian pounds each way which you can get from next to the KFC in Aswan.

United KingdomAhmad upgraded us to a room with view of the Nile and it was very beautiful and relaxing. Also allowed us to check in late. Ahmad was very polite and friendly and kindly arranged us a brilliant car tour to Abu Simbel. Ahmad did not hassle or push for any services unlike other places in Egypt.

Hungary-
The accomodation is stunning, very comfortable and clean, one of our best stays in Egypt. The Elephantine Island was the perfect choice for our stay in Aswan, very peaceful place with some restaurants and close to the city center and botanical gardens. My favorite place of the accommodation was the rooftop, where we could enjoy the Nile and the sunset every evening. Ahmed, owner of the guest house is very kind and supportive, he organized our trips to Philae Temple, Aswan Dam, Abu Simbel and Luxor which was extremely helpful for us. Totally recommended place :)!!

GermanyWe enjoyed a lot our stay in Abazido! The property is located on an island with very good connection to the city Center. It is at the quiet side of the island, looking over the botanical garden and the dessert. I think this is the best we can get while staying centrally. The room is very clean and well equipped. We loved spending our time on the rooftop, sunbathing and enjoying the magnificent river view. The host is very helpful and reliable. We highly recommend it!

The location on Elephantine Island is great. It is on the quiet side of the island and is very restful. It is right on the banks of the Nile, so has plenty of activity to watch on the river, and the scenery is wonderful. The ferry to Aswan itself is close by and very regular - it is an experience in itself. The host family is very nice and will help with anything you need. We loved everything about our stay.
