The reservation of the seats on the pools for extra long periods was troublesome. If you didn't reserve your seat early before breakfast with your towel, you probably won't find a seat for the rest of the day. We witnessed seats being reserved from 8 am till sunset with no one ever using them. This should be addressed by the pool managers.

The service was exceptional. Everyone was always polite, smiling, and helpful. The room was very good and clean and with a great sea view. Food quality was great with good varieties. Flexible timing for meals with late breakfast and dinner options was very relaxing. We loved the 24/7 barista coffee bar in the lobby (serving REAL coffee). A complimentary fruit basket delivered to our rooms was a nice touch. Generally, we loved our weekend getaway, and hopefully, we'll be going back soon.

The food quality / vareity needs some improvements.

Everything is perfect,,, specially the welcoming at the reception; I appreciate Mr.Eslam for his action to have our satisfaction and giving us a family size room ,,, and Mr.Shabaan for his warm welcoming. Overall value for money is the best choice. The location is little faraway from the city center but, there are clinic, pharmacy, bazar, super market, ....some other shops ,,everything are on site ,,

Everything in the hotel was amazing it's my second staying in this amazing resort. Thanks for all staff they're very helpful and friendly specially Mr. Ahmed Adel in reception and Mr. Ahmed Eid , Mr. Roushdy in pool bar and to not forget anyone really everyone doing their job very well.. food was excellent and many varieties , room super clean and spacious. The helpfull staff at reception. Especially Domadious. Continuously smiling. Every employee greeted us with a smile and asked if they can assist us in any way. The sea view was fabulous. Food at the beach bar was tasty as well as the Restaurant. Rooms were nicely organized and spacious.

Sea is shallow No aquapark

The breakfast bags could use a little more attention when being put together. An orange isn't easy to eat on a 4 hour trip in a van, and some pastries instead of the bread rolls would also have been easier to eat. But i very much appreciate a breakfast bag being put together and be ready to take away so early in the morning!

I had a great week at the Pickalbatros hotel. As a woman traveling alone i very much appreciated that someone from reception called me every other day to ask if all was still alright and if they could do something for me. I also appreciated the lifeguard at the beach not allowing people to claim waterfront chairs with towels without ever showing up. The food was great in my opinion, great fresh omelets made every morning. Eggs the way you please! The hotel provides a breakfast bag to go if you're going out on an early excursion, just let them know the night before. Be aware that the hotel is near Soma Bay, but nothing is at walkable distance from the resort. You'll need a taxi to go to Soma Bay or Hurghada, and excursion companies might charge you extra to come pick you up. However, it you take all this in to consideration you'll find out that this hotel is still a better deal than hotels in Hurghada, and i my opinion, very much worth it!
