Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomFor me it was very noisy from very early morning (6am). Horses and camels were readied in front of the hotel. But it is not fault of the hotel.
Pyramid's view from the rooftop is amazing! Mohamed was really great host and when I asked to change my room (without a window) it was not a problem. My room and toilet were clean. Breakfast was nice and the entrance to pyramids area is 5 mins away.

EcuadorThe hotel is clean and perfectly located nearby the pyramids entrance, hotel's staff was always ready to help me whatever I needed, they even took care of my backpack after I checked in so I could explore the city without that extra weight on my back until I had to go to the airport. I'd definitely recommend this hotel if you're planning to visit Giza.

FranceThe location is just amazing. From the terrace the view of the pyramids is exceptional. This is also where they will serve you the continental breakfast. It's only 5 minutes walk from the pyramids gate, which is what we were looking for. The budget room we stayed in was not very big but enough for a short time. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom very clean and the AC working perfectly. The owners are extremely nice and helpful. They don't speak very good English but thanks to Google translate and some sign language, they made sure they met our needs. They walked us to a restaurant in the evening and let us keep our luggage after check out. I doubt you can find such a nice place at this low price.

ItalyI recently had the pleasure of staying at the Capital Of Pyramids hotel, and I must say it was an unforgettable experience. The owner was incredibly attentive and always made sure our needs were met. He went above and beyond by offering us numerous interesting tours, including the captivating Nile dinner cruise and a fascinating visit to Cairo, not to mention arranging seamless airport transfers. The panoramic view from the hotel is breathtaking, especially in the evening when you can admire the illuminated pyramids from the rooftop. One evening, the owner even surprised us by arranging a delightful delivery of pizza and drinks directly to our terrace. Overall, our stay at Capital Of Pyramids was nothing short of exceptional. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Cairo. The combination of outstanding service, stunning views, and personalized touches truly made our trip unforgettable.

United KingdomThe one significant issue for us was food hygiene, specifically for breakfast. We became aware of an issue after arriving at the table and finding it hadn't been cleared from a previous guest, who had left quite a lot of food behind. Flies were swarming on the food. I said to my wife - 'how do we know we will not be served the same food - i.e. that the food will not be re-used?' and decided to make some recognisable marks/tears on the bread and croissant. When the table was cleared, we waited around 20 minutes, to be served some new food (freshly cooked omlette, fries and falafel) along with the very same croissant and bread that was served to a previous guest earlier. We instantly knew it was the same because of the distinctive marks I left earlier. I strongly recommend that the hotel ends the practice of re-using food, and also finds a way of covering the dishes to avoid contamination by flies. It is a particular risk as the hotel is right near an area used for horses and camels, and the flies are likely the same population associated with the animals. Until that is addressed I would recommend to guests that they do not have breakfast at the hotel or only eat the freshly cooked hot food, and not the bread/croissants.
We loved the room and our view of the Pyramids. The staff were reasonably friendly but there is a potential language barrier. The rooms were well priced.

FranceBarely any internet even though the Wifi signal was strong. No option to buy food in the hotel. Staff tried to charge us 15 eur for early check-in. Also, we almost cancelled due to them asking us for a marriage certificate because I spoke Arabic. We both are french and never had an issue with that before in Egypt.
The view (although it was better from the rooftop of a restaurant nearby) and everything in the room is brand new. Early check in and luggage storage were a nice addition. Breakfast was okay
