Ac was not working first night.. we complained but it was mot fixed directly.. other than that everything else was perfect- location, service and facilities

In our last day we booked an activity to go to Abu Simbel with the hotel that started at 3:30 am and we came back around 12:30pm. We asked them before if we could do the checkout after the excursion and they didn’t want to :( knowing that the checkout was possible until 12pm so we would have been late only for 30 minutes.

Nice hotel, room was spacious with a nice Nile view.

The hotel has seen its best years and is a bit run down (area around shower, carpet), not best in cleaning the room (light sockets were very dirty, telephone was quite dirty), stone around sink was not very clean either. We had a suite, all roms were very dark with the exception of the main bedroom (which had amazing views to the Nile). No attention for detail in the room (no chairs to sit in the balcony overlooking the Nile, but they did place them at my request). We were 4 persons but they only had one room key which was not very convenient, and they could not give us an additional one. However they would send someone to open the door for us when necessary

Good location, good beds, wide variety of breakfast (though not very continental, it caters more towards middle east breakfast). Roof terrace (with bar) has excellent views over the Nile and you can enjoy an evening there while having a drink. Pool in the roof was nice too. Outstanding service, all staff is extremely welcome and will do its best to make your stay comfortable.

Spacious, really clean rooms with all the facilities you might need. Really close to the train station, only 6 minutes' walk. The side view was okay, but I wouldn't stay on the balcony for long.

Although I had a wonderful night, there was an issue of banging noise that happened in early hours. Around 3.30 am, there was a continuous knocking sound from upstairs, which lasted 15 mins.

Rooms are on the older side with windows not closing properly. With the hotel being on the main road, this can get quite noisy, also at night. Staff are 'in" on overcharging tourists for activities/trips, so don't accept the first price quoted.

Location is very central. Staff are making an effort to be helpful (although clearly motivated by ratings).. rooftop terrace with small swimming pool and nice view. Breakfast is good but not great. Overall decent value for money..

The prices are relatively high. One night would cost over 100 USD. The week prior, we stayed in 5 star all-inclusive resorts on the Red Sea for 85 USD per night.

This is a decent hotel in a great location. The staff is very helpful and pleasant.

The room did show signs of aging, suggesting a need for updated furniture and carpeting.

The hotel's location is truly a plus, situated right in front of the Nile River waterfront. This prime location made it incredibly convenient for us to travel to Elephantine Island. Regarding breakfast, the hotel offered a satisfying array of choices, meeting our expectations. The room size surpassed our expectations given the amount we paid; it was remarkably spacious for three of us, featuring a living room and two bedrooms.

It seems a common problem in Egypt, the sound isolation of the windows was very bad and considering that the hotel is located on Aswan main road there was quite some noise even at the fifth floor.

The hotel is a modern building located in Aswan city centre on the main road parallel to the Nile. It is not far from the train station and very close to the souk. The room we stayed was on the fifth floor and had a superb view over the Nile. The room was well equipped and comfortable.

We would like say thank you to Mr. Salah, the front desk manager of Citymax Aswan. He speaks perfect English and helped us a lot. Including to make phone call to the tour company which listed on BOOKING.COM. No one came to pick us up, and the phone number posted on Booking.com was impossible to reach out. We tried so many time to contact BOOKING.COM though, they just didn’t response and ignore us at all. And our money didn’t get refund yet til now. Book tour thru Citymax hotel should be a reliable choice. Strongly suggest NOT to book any tour from booking.com, it’s a scam!!!
