Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SpainTo improve the bed was definitely not the best one side was ok but the other side was not even flat so if you are 2 choose battle for the left side but overall value is good.
The place is within a huge resort, it is really nice to be able to use most of the utilities that the people from the resort get at a much discounted rate. You have access to the beach and the reef is really nice to snorkel. The gym is now nomore accessible for people who stay in flats within the resort so the cost is 3 euros if you want to go. Communication was good and fast.

EgyptCompared to other rooms, this one is a bit far from the sea.
The resort is nice, the room is simple and good value for money, the location of the room is close to the entrance of the resort. The owner checked on us several times (via facebook msgs).

This apartment is outstanding; it is enormous and well-kept; even the amenities, such as the television and air conditioner, are new; it has a large bathroom; and it has all of the essentials. Above all, Adham, the owner, is a delightful gentleman; he was eager to know and ensure our satisfaction, he checked on us, and he was quite polite. I would recommend this place to anyone; it is truly beautiful.

Germany1. The room is totally dirty when I got in, especially the bathroom, bed and the refrigerator. And there is no house keeping service during the three days, the room is totally dirty!!! And the refrigerator is very very smelly!! 2. There are too many mosquitos in the room, cannot sleep during the night… 3. The stuffs in reception is totally unfriendly and unprofessional. They don’t tell you any thing about the hotel facilities at all such as how to go to swimming pool, beach, and how to use shuttle bus, and the password about the WiFi and the phone number of reception. 4. The WiFi is totally bad, you need to pay extra to use WiFi normally, when not the internet is quite weak and slow. This is first time I met this situation. 5. The location of the hotel is really far away from the city center and the beach, don’t believe the introduction by itself.

Hungary-It is fully self managed, independent part and the hotel has a minimum to do with the place. Therefore the booking was neither working the easiest (nobody found for some time that it was already paid) and there were some other confusions too, which somewhat affected the vacation time. For now everything is resolved, at least whatever could be affected by us, at guest level. Private ownership must still clearly learn then tell everything or even more about the location and rules, even more if that is inside and shared property of a half-independent supplier-hotel. That may be just in itself a ground of confusions. If there is a shared model of airbnb, aparthotels and real hotels within the same building, that requires advanced processes, as that is not something to guests are used to. Neither more trained ones. And a Christmas vacation was not signed for solving riddles. So everyone had to be fully clear about all policies and enjoy the stay without any hassle. Who has to be reached out and for what, etc. Not telling these after but before misunderstandings. As well the owners and providers might really want to enhance their partnership and cross-departmental communication amongst them. As finally they all serve the same guests somewhat together and the guests or lower chain workforce must never be the blamed target of any anyways correctable misunderstanding, even not without continuous good belief. +Microwave and mosquito nets would be useful to all rooms not only apartments.
-The room base price was correct for the value of sleepover and the view on the sea was an extra good. -The hairdryer and clean water kettle -The big room -Quite silence around

FranceI am not a fan of big resorts like this where you get stuck in it and depend of the resort's pricy service for everything: food, transportation ... just not my cup of tea. No WI-FI in the room ... ? I mean, really? In 2023? It was possible to have WI-FI but the hotel didn't accept it. The resort is quite far away from the center and the taxi prices offered by the resort taxi are REALLY EXPENSIVE: 400 EGP for a ride which would cost 200 EGP normally.
Big room. Pretty cheap.
